I know americans don't get excited about this, but for us, it's tradition and childhood memories. Long before we started keeping track on the NHL, there were games in World Cup that meant all hockey fans in European countries go nuts. My best hockey memories, ever, are from the incredible games between USSR and Czechoslovakia when I was a kid in end of 70s, beginning 80s.
Tallinder turned it down because he's applying for a Green Card and can't bring his family. I know this situation exactly from when I got mine. You can't travel too freely.
I`m not surprised they`re not interested. Those matches are on while they`re at work.
Some names for team Sweden? Why the hell don`t you have a website in English? I don`t understand a single word there and have no clue where to find it.
I want whoever is able to see these games to watch Kovalchuk closely. I want to know if he's Atlanta Kovalchuk or Lemaire Kovalchuk.
I can tell you right now that he'll be floating around cause he won't have anyone to bring him back down to earth. Russian hockey isn't about team defense more so then the highlight goal/fancy move and I don't see Kovalchuk going all "2 way" on this tournament.
Enstrom won`t come due to his injury, stays in Atlanta. Dvorak said his main goal is to play for the Thrashers next year and he don`t want to get hurt. And Bogosian won`t go too. No further explanation on his decision.
So that`s for Atlanta...
With all those names, I don`t see Canada losing any of their group stage matches, so that`d mean I have a real chance to see CAN-USA (1B-2C I expect Sweden to take the first place) in prelims. Yay!
