Worst part is as the the Yahoo article states, the NHL might come down on him a little because technically this was a bet and players cannot bet on hockey.

It would suck for him to face disciplinary action because of this. I find it's pretty cool that he interacted with opposition fans like that. Still though, what's the point of suspending him? Take away his chances of not playing, and suspend him from sitting on the bench with the possible chance that he may see a period here or there? Come on.

That was a class act by Turco if the story is true. Unlike someone like Rick Rypien who jumps a home fan who is simply clapping in his seat.

The rule is to prevent a player from making money by doing pretty unethical stuff, like losing on purpose.

That is not a wager a hockey player will even feel on his wallet. Not a second. So, yeah, if the league punish him for that, they really are going too far.
