Magic number to clinch the conference is 3 points. A regulation loss tonight gives control back to Philly.

2 points, please.

It is weird to me that I can't find a picture of a volume knob going to 12. If I was at home I'd just upload one myself. The knobs on my Blues Jr. all go to 12.

Apart from the "Ours goes up to 11", the spontaneous combustion bit might be my favorite from the movie.

OV and others sandbagging? Didn't a couple of posters here prove without a doubt that it was all down to injuries for most of the season?

Who knows. After seeing the BB pregame interview where he had a rather wry smile as he said Ovy was taking some games off kind of muddies the waters I think.

Most true fans can see and appreciate amazing talent when they see it regardless of how many daggers that players sticks in their team.

I'll bet this one is going to be close, its just human nature to overlook some less important things in anticipation of something huge... i hope i'm wrong and we blow them out. I just hope for a W with no injuries.

Any news on Green?

As of WaPo Insider he is not playing tonight. Definitely in for Saturday

I don't see Green lasting the playoffs. He's going to be the #1 target on whatever team's white board we play in the 1st round.

Disappointing, but not unexpected. After reading quotes and blogs for days that he's going to play, he still isn't in the lineup....but definitley Saturday! I'll believe it when I see it. Two warmup games would have been better than one. I can't see how after weeks of being out a couple more days will make that much difference. If he's ok get him on the ice already. You'd think they'd want the rust off before a critical Game 1.

He has barely lasted in the previous yet Bruce refused to ease the workload. Injured or ineffective offensively, Bruce just kept him plugging away.

Target #1 is exactly why I want him with Hannan. Hannan will go interfere with and legally impede the easily predictable swarm of forecheckers that will be making their way to hit 52. Sarge, its just not his game. Hannan will be close by at all times. Thats exactly what Green will need. Dare I say book it.

I think it worth noting that the Panthers suck. I mean... they stunk already, and now they're tanking. They have dropped eight games in a row, 9 of 10, and 28 of their last 36. They lose a lot. Now it's true that Florida is rested, but the Caps are hitting a bit of a groove. Last night was not a very punishing game. Vokoun is out.

Based solely on Ovechkin's comment yesterday that Florida was already on vacation I expect an annoyingly close game.

Unless the Caps score early and the crowd takes over.
