It's cruel seeing and knowing Crosby and Malkin were dressed in real uniforms today.

He appears to have full range of motion on that knee to be...uh...assuming the position

There's a playoff avatar in this photo. Something like "the 2 best pens ever...and some guy in between them".

That shot of Geno, Mario, and Sid... Mario looks like he ripped one and is trying to let someone else take the blame while holding back the laugh.

That would work, just too bad that Sid and Geno's heads are turned to the side.

Do I hear a collective "Oh *****" being heard right across the rest of the Eastern Conference?

It seems almost more like he's unknowingly making a "Problem, HFBoards?" Troll face.

Or maybe not so unknowingly?

How absurdly fun would be to see Geno in the SC finals if we make there?

Erik Cole did it in 2006.

(Cole also went 0g, 0a, 0p, -1 in two SCF games...Emotionally he might have given the team a lift, but it's not like he popped in a Cup winner).

I thought Geno didn't need surgery. Also, I recall Cole being not bad when he returned. Not as good as he usually was but not out of place either.

Not that the two injuries are equal in any way or you can put a percentage on it but a 60% Malkin would be much better than an 80% Cole, IMO. [/pipe_dream] [/puts_down_pipe]

But a reinjury to a 60% Malkin could be a massive blow to the future of the team.

Obviously, I want the team to go far and do well. But I don't want either of our superstars pressed. Shero has built a team that will be Cup competitive for the next few years. I want us to do well and try our hardest, but if we don't win it this year, we'll have more opportunities in the future. If we rush back Sid or Geno and they get reinjured, we may lose the future opportunity.

Geno definitely shouldn't play until next season.

Erik Cole doesn't absolutely love Brooks Orpik though plus Cole only seems to play well for the Canes.

He didn't need MCL surgery. Still needed ACL which is the more important one. You can still play with a partially torn MCL wearing a brace. You can't do anything with a torn ACL

True...but I think the possibility of playing with Geno or Sid would definitely change that. Our system fits his game pretty darn well...
