Flames Fan comes in Peace with a Proposal and needs your thoughts

So a bit of info. A media type here in Calgary is doing a Fan Opinion show and he's been asking some of the Flames faithful to come infront of Cameras and give our thoughts on where the Flames are, where they are headed and what we think should be done.

One of the questions involves player movement, and I just honestly don't know if it's fair to both teams so here I am asking for honest feedback and perhaps you guys and ladies can make this proposal a bit more solid.

So here it is:

To Tampa Bay: Miikka Kipprusoff, Jay Bouwmeester

To Calgary: Brett Connolly, Victor Hedman and a 1st round pick 2012

Please don't flame (haha little pun) me on this I honestly don't know if this is fair value or not. Give me your thoughts.

Tampa gives up way too much in my opinion. Hedman won't be traded. Yzerman won't give up our first. Maybe Connolly and Detroit's first, or one of our many seconds. Even that's pushing it though; I highly doubt Yzerman wants to give up Connolly.

Too much cap going our way, any way, Connolly and Detroit's 1st is all I would offer

Yzerman has stated he doesn't want to trade his 1st round picks, in general. And I would say definitely not given the other young players given up here.

If you throw Baertschi and Brodie in as well then maybe, but I doubt you want to trade your best young players like us.

A trade for a guy who is reaching his final years, and one who has under performed since his is arrival in Calgary for 2 players who haven't even scratched the surface of their full potential and a top 10 pick.

At least you said you know nothing about us before hand. On the main thread this trade is a no brainer for Tampa and Calgary gets ripped off...

Wouldn't want JayBo any way. Connolly and 2nd for Giordano?
