Jason La Canfora's speculation is:

Head Coach - Mike Sherman
Offensive Coordinator - Brad Childress
Defensive Coordinator - Mike Nolan

Personally I'd be surprised if this is how it went down, but this is what he said "may be it".

I could see them bringing in Marty Schottenheimer as a kind of coaching consultant/overseer, but that would seem unlikely if they're going to have three former head coaches taking up the primary coaching roles, which in of itself seems pretty unlikely to me.

Well, at least this time if they decide to fire the HC midway through the season, they have someone somewhat qualified to fill in...

I do like Shottenheimer, but at 69, just not sure I want a temp coach.

NFL.com reporting Jags hire Mike Mularkey as HC....

...Then the Dolphins hire Zimmer and then the Bucs announce that they are hiring Mike Sherman because he's the best candidate out there for the job. Kind of like the excuse there were no free agents available that were better than what we already have after the whole crop has been picked over by all the other teams....lame 'ol lame 'ol Bucs....

Apparently the Falcons missed Mularkey getting shut out on Sunday.

Well, Marty's son Brian just left the Jests, so I guess that opens the door for Marty to bring Brian and Kurt here....

That's a great signing. If he's healthy he's easily a 20-25 homers guy.

Yeah, but....it's kinda sad when even the ugly girl doesn't want to dance with you...

(can't take credit for this quote...found it elsewhere in reference to the Bucs)

Wade coming here made absolutely ZERO sense.

Yeah, let's get a strictly 3-4 guy in to coach a 4-3 scheme.

And yes, I do realize that Rah played some hybrid 3-4 in a cover 2 but still

Chudzinski and Zimmer will interview. I would be happy with either.

I'd be stoked to have Chudzinski, same with Zimmer.

Which means we're getting neither of them.

Also it looks like Olson may be the QB coach/passing game coordinator for the Bears. That should be fun to watch.

Was thinking about the Bucs coaching search today on my way to work and the fog was starting to clear on the method behind this madness we call the Glazer family....

Big Question: What's with all the senior retreads that had a certain amount of success as a head coach???

Answer: Take a look at Manchester United. One of the most, if not the most, successful franchises in the Premier League. The team is run by Manager Sir Alex Ferguson for the past 25 years and still going at AGE 70.....So now you have a 70 year old manager coaching a bunch of relatively young men and still being successful.....Think this logic has anything to do with their search?

..... So now they've scheduled interviews with Mike Zimmer and Rob Chudzinski. Chudzinski coached Winslow when he was drafted by the Browns....

Honestly?

No. Like, really emphatically - no.

They said they'd be thorough and that's what they're doing. They're casting a wide net.

Well, it may be a stretch, but until they show they've widened those nets, I'm not going to trust Dominick or the Glazers one bit in BS'ing the fan base.

The first year in free agency coming off a 3-13 season they did nothing but tried to appease the fans by saying they came in 2nd place in landing Haynesworth....(yeah...that would've really worked out great now!) Second year in free agency we landed a punter who finished 19th in the league. Why Dominick is still here is beyond me - he hasn't done squat then uses the lame excuse that he didn't participate in FA because he thought we had a great season and the players would continue to grow. What a crock. His drafts are subpar, he doesn't pick players up off of other practice squads and he should've been shown the door with Raheem. This mess was a 3-headed monster and Rah took the fall for all of them although deservedly so.

Don't forget giving Clayton and Black way too much money. Dominik hasn't had a lot of money to work with but when he's had some he's usually blown it.

I heard a rumor on the radio today that Vinik was interested in buying the Rays. On 620 AM so probably complete BS.

Vinik is interested in buying Channelside and the rumor was Sternberg would buy the Mets and Vinik would buy the Rays and move them to Channelside. Would be exciting but apparently not true. Hope he buys Channelside, however.

When did you hear that on 620?

Because JP started off Happy Hour with it yesterday on 1010
