Perfect, he will smooth the way for Geoff's transition into President and CEO of the Canadiens, and hopefully then our old GOAL SONG WILL RETURN!

Impressive resume that's for sure. Seems like a guy that can do the job!

Kinda OT, but are the people posting comments on that site just not reading the articles they are posting about at all? I just read a few but man:

"What, what, what???? They couldn’t find somebody who was Quebecois?" - Yes, he is, read the article.

"Somehow, I thought Molson was going to take over Boivin’s job?"
Reply :
"yes, he obviously lied when he said he would learn for the next year by working himself with boivin then do the job himself. funny you also remember it but its not in this story?"

He's hired as COO and Molson will become CEO and President... as stated in the article?

Was just impressed by some people's lack of reading skill.

Well he's from Disneyland & they are among the best marketers in the world! Perfect, since it's like Disney's World around here during Hockey Season.

Sounds good, don't think it will have any effect on the product on the ice but never hurts to have solid financial minds running the team.

He was being sarcastic, read the rest of his comment.

Most people writing on HabsInsideOut are exactly like people here. For example, they jump on the Gomez and Kosty hating bandwagon in full force all year long, and act like they weren't on it when they start to do well. Oh, and they mostly hate Jacques Martin. Same as HF, pretty much.

I'll ALWAYS be on the hate Gomez wagon. Always. Forever.

He'd have to do something pretty incredible for me to stop despising him. Like win the Conn Smythe.

I don't give a spit about the role of the team president.

I do not care if the team makes a dime, is a good corporate citizen and kisses babies.

I just want to be entertained by good hockey.

I always thought Boivin was way too represented in the Sports media for a guy with ZERO hockey pedigree. Why would anyone ask him questions about hockey, and the roster? Why does his opinion matter more than Jean Charest or Gilles Duceppe's? Either is equally unimportant.

YEAH!
I really love how Arvida is still called that, even though it fusioned TWICE. Like Kenogami. Don't lose it ^_^.

He does have an impressive C.V., but let's face it, it won't change Hockey operations one bit.
