I disagree.

He may not use his size like you want a power foward too (huge hits, etc) but he's always going to the net. He scores garbage goals and has no problem standing in the goalies view. I like hitting, but if a player is going to be effective screening the goalie - that's fine by me.

Sounds like a project, but might be worth while.

Better than nothing. Great to see them exploring the CHL.

Expect a long stay in Hamilton and please people....nobody puts him in their prediction for next year's starting lineup would you???

Like somebody said, the greatest news might be to know that Timmins fully is aware of what's in Oshawa, and I like all 3 prospects.
Actually there's four decent prospects. Andreoff will be drafted this year, perhaps in the third or fourth round. I thought Andreoff was overlooked in his draft year, and he's only gotten better as he's matured. Smart, tough center with some offensive ability. He's definitely not afraid to drop the gloves, and not just with middleweights either. A very good puck carrier and above average playmaker.

I like him, and in an interview last month Oshawa coach GM Chris Dipiero he told me he expects Andreoff to be gone by the middle rounds. BTW - I asked Dipiero which of the "Big Three" will be the best NHLer down the road - he said Jenner..... that was not a big shock to me, especially when you scout a few Generals' games - Jenner is usually on the ice in all important situations, and it's evident that the coaches love him. Jenner's only drawback is his skating, but he works so hard that it's usually not much of an issue unless he gets caught behind the play.

Expect Jensen to be the first General chosen, and likely in the top 15, perhaps even top 12.

BTW - I just received confirmation last week from TSN that I will be writing the profiles for Bob McKenzie's final top 60 rankings in June. I look forward to working with TSN in the future.

What a silly comment. Berger is probably the best fighter in the OHL. He also like to cause havoc in front of the net.

You sure?

Fights this year:

#1 Even Fight. MAYBE edge Berger
#2 Got Fed
#3 Rematch from #1, not much of a fight, basically jumped the guy.

I don't think he's good enough for the NHL. The AHL could already be out of his league.

If the Randies do the same thing to that kid that they did to Pacioretty, it's going to be awesome.

I think he has a shot.

In the fight videos it looks like the kid isn't aware that he's 6'4.

So no, I doubt he was brought in to fight. To play with grit/edge sure, but I don't think him dropping the gloves against NHL fighters is a good idea, I don't care how much "aggressive" the intentions behind his punches are.

Do we keep picking up Swiss players because French is a official language of Switzerland?

Uh, yeah obviously. I think I'd trust the director of amateur scouting over a poster on Hf Boards, lol...

And then we will all get banned.

(No need for real banning) Just poking a little fun at the Mods.

Well, let me see. If I spoke French, and I was being hounded by a bunch of North American teams, and only one of them was in the province that spoke French, and was a little Europeanesque ... would that factor in to my decision?

Yeah, probably not. I would only go for the bling, the low taxes, and a place where I was guaranteed top minutes. F@k being comfortable in where you live!

I hope this signing works out. Even if it doesn't, I'm sure it will be another good body for the Dogs.

Go Habs!

Tomas Holmstrom doesn't have good hockey skills. He's slow. He doesn't have a great shot, isn't a great passer. He isn't a great fighter.

If Berger can go to the front of the net, take people with him, screen and deflect pucks. Then he's a useful feature to smaller skilled players. All that matters.

If he doesn't? Free contract, no draft picks wasted. Nothing lost.
