And a grand total of one playoff win in those 10 years.

Don't even mention the 2 in the same sentence ever again. Lundqvist is in God mode when he's at a fashion show or making swedish meatballs at his newly opened restaurant.

Yeah. I mean, if Avery is the difference between making and missing the playoffs then the Rangers don't deserve to make the playoffs.

I'm assuming winning olympic gold and holding off a last second barrage against Finland is not an accomplishment, then.

Kovy's on a mission, but I still think we win this game.

Missed all but the final minute of the period. Damn, those last minute goals. Always and forever a Rangers short coming.

Shut em down score a couple goals. Easy

What does the Devils' place in the standings have to do with Kovalchuk? He's clearly a difference maker every shift every game. My point was to get on the people here who look at playoffs as a way to judge players.

Well, he stopped the shot up high when Byfuglien walked in during the Atlanta game to keep it 2-0, but his team didn't respond. What were you saying then? Does he really let up every shot up high or are you just upset and looking to pass blame?

That being said, Henrik has been off tonight.

Doesn't matter, Torts should have taken the leash off, let him harrass Fatso and get under Kovalchuk's skin. Any offense he could have brought would have been a bonus.

Or stopping 47 out of 48 against the Flyers last year in game 82 which was the Rangers elimination game.

Avery has not been good this season, no one will deny that and he shouldn't be the difference maker tonight. He does do something that no other Ranger can do though, drive both Marty and Kovy crazy, this is my issue with Torts, have Avery pester Kovy all night as he is the gamebreaker for a depleted Devils team missing Zubrus, Volchenkov, Parise, and White. If he can take Kovy or Marty off their games, we win. We saw it in the playoffs vs the Thrashers and Vs the Devils.

Sorry, as happy as I am for him, I can care two ***** about that Olympic gold as a Ranger fan. It's hard to play under the NY pressure and so far 6 years in we haven't seen Henrik handle these key pressure moments. Hell who knows, maybe he can go into "God" mode just not for the Rangers.

He has never controlled games like a Mike Richter has in the past...Brodeur, Roy, Hasek...he has never controlled the play in net when it has mattered the most.

Season is over fellas. Not trying to be completely negative, just facing reality. Season was over after Carolina housed Atlanta, imo. This is just the icing on the cake. Callahan going down ruined us....
