Now secure that win in the 3rd, and then let's pray for Tampa to show up and somehow win!

General observation: Throughout their careers as Rangers, players like Dubinsky, Drury, and Lundqvist have consistently played well against the Devils, probably our most hated rival. Now that's some good leadership right there.

Great leadership that forgot to show up against Atlanta in the biggest game of the year.

No. Both Philly and Pittsburgh have 104 points and both have 1 more game to play.

Was thinking the same thing. Watching the effort this game makes the Atlanta game seem so much worse.

Watching this effort today makes the egg they laid against the Thrashers so frustrating. Come on boys close this out, and have T-Bay take care of business tonight.

This game isnt gonna matter cause the Canes win easily tonight against a Tampa team who will not play Stammer and others. All for naught. The Atlanta game was the tipping point, win that game and were in, on to the next year. Good showing by the boys today, just sucks that it wont mean anything.

Question for the officials here.

Was Prust's goal a legal play?

I thought he jumped on the ice in an offside position because the guy he jumped on for never gained the blue line. I think that's technically offside. I've been called for it in beer league. I just don't know.

That could be the major break we've been looking for all season.

I love seeing them do what they need to do but it is hard to get excited knowing that Carolina will likely win tonight, and I am usually an optimistic sports person, but I just can't see them losing tonight. Hope I am wrong though.

According to Sam and Joe Tampa is playing everyone except for Malone.

I'll take the games they did show up vs the games they didn't and be happy. Anyway I don't equate scoring to leadership anyway.

Drury didn't even play in that game.

Anyway, it was more of a statement about how some players on this team have performed against the Devils post-lockout, not so much about how they have played lately.

But I do admit they showed up today and looked defeated and dead at most times against Atlanta.

41 players have scored their first NHL goal on Brodeur.

41.

if both ourselves and carolina win, it'll mean that we miss the playoffs in back to back years by 1) a shootout and 2) an OT v regulation loss (tiebreaker v CAR)

how much suckage is that?

Thought Hedman wasn't playing either? And I heard Smith is in goal.
