If Tampa Bay rests their best players against Carolina, IMO it would be unsportsmanlike conduct.
In fact we have seen that soccer teams in Europe have been given huge fines for resting their best players in such games.
In sports it´s about fair play and honor. Even if you have accomplished your own goal, you should always play your best to make the competition fair for all others. Of course a team must be able to decide to rest a player if they see the need. But if the rumours are true, we are talking about a team taking out 5 of their best players, players who definitely would have played if the game was more important for them.
I still believe in this team. I paid a whole lot of money for a potential game 6 in the first round and I do not want my money back. Come out tomorrow hard. Win the battles. Win faceoffs. Shoot the freaking puck. Crash the net. Give Gaborik room to skate. Let Avery go absolutely ape shizz on Kovalchump and Fatso. UNLEASH HELL!!!! And if u were a die hard TB fan and SS and Vinny get an injury and r out of the playoffs, i bet the 1st thing u would say was Why did the coach play them when the game had no effect on who they would play come playoffs!!! Its called a maintenance day. Im sure the big names will play a few mins.
