This will be a good series and I think it'll be a close one too. The Flyers are no team to not take seriously in the playoffs but I like our chances better than I did last year against the Bruins. Miller will have to be big as always and so will Vanek. I like our chances against Bobrovsky but the Flyers have a dangerous offense and Briere is going to be a huge threat.
I'm not going to predict on this one. I'll leave it alone.
Buffalo wins this in 6. Throw in a couple high-scoring games... like... 6-4 or 5-3.
Honestly, I'm still not sold on the Flyers. They've been skidding a lot recently, and haven't really shown me this year that they are a true Stanley Cup championship team. I think their defense is old and shaky, that they have minimal leadership up front (Richards and Carter are idiots who party all night instead of leading by example), and that Bobrovsky will prove to be a flop in the postseason.
Pronger won't even be 100% for this playoff... he's been ineffective as it is this season when he's been healthy.... Nothing going for the Flyers.
That said, I do think Briere will breakout and that Pominville will lead the Sabres in scoring.
