And yeah, I can't imagine being able to watch Miller every night...jealous.
Not as jealous as I am of forwards that can actually generate scoring chances in the playoffs...

What. Has. This. Thread. Come to? Respect and cordiality between opposing fans in the playoffs!? HFboards might explode. Or the universe.

I've been singing the praises of WGR 550 to anyone who will listen to me since the series began. Not only do they talk hockey all the time but it doesn't matter who's on the air, even though they want the Sabres to win they are really fair in what they say, and very knowledgeable as well. Same goes for people calling into the various shows. It's a treat to hear real hockey talk.

Funny how other teams are jealous of Miller, meanwhile we have idiots in Buffalo who want him gone.

I missed the 2nd philly goal last night because I was in line buying food, right after they scored the cashier just started going off saying they had to pull miller and get enorth in there becuase miller is trash. Note: this guy did not see a single second of the hockey game at this point because he was working and in no way saw the reasoning for the goal.
I wanted to call him an idiot but feared he might have spit in my food

I know what that's like, Philly fans have a strange hatred for Jeff Carter.

Change Miller to Carter and you have Philly fans. Not all but some.

That coburn interference on kaleta was the best penalty I have ever seen taken. He totally saved timonen from being labelled from behind, and im sure kaleta will think twice before charging in at a guy looking at his numbers

So because Kaleta is Kaleta, he was obviously going to board Timonen blatantly, take a penalty and probably hurt the guy.

Yea, that makes sense.

And because Kaleta is Kaleta, it's a good thing Coburn threw a shoulder to his chops and knocked him out of the game.

I understand why people hate him. I would if he wasn't on my team.

But praising a guy for taking a cheap shot at him is a little ridiculous.

Watch the video. Kaleta had a full head of steam and was preparing to hit Timonen, now I am all for a good clean hard hit, but kimmo's back was to the play and all you could see was numbers. That being said I am not going to sit here and say it was kaleta's intent to hit from behind, or that it even was going to be a definite hit from behind, but from what I can see unless #44 turned around in a split second or kaleta instantly made the decision to back off of the hit, Timonen was going to get drilled from behind. Like I said great heads up play by coburn to save his partner.

I think you're overreacting. It wasn't a cheapshot by any means, it was a pick.

I don't think it was intent to injure, but any shot to a guy who doesn't have the puck is one some level of "cheap."

It's a a penalty, meaning it's not a hockey play, meaning if a guy's doing it, it's outside of the rules, or "cheap."

Just my logic.

If the situation were reversed, and it was Hartnell or Carcillo sailing in on Meyers, would you still be calling it cheap, or would it be a good play by his teammate to save him from a potentially huge hit?

looked like a shoulder to the chest if anything, still not sure i'd even call it a "shot" and he got penalized for it so I'm not sure if you can call it "cheap" either
