Martin Biron: Status for Playoffs?

Biron was injured on Feb 28th with a broken collarbone, estimated to be out 6-8 weeks. Last update was a few weeks ago that he was still in a sling but riding the bike. Tomorrow will be 6 weeks since the injury and I haven't seen or heard anything about him coming back. Anyone hear anything about his possible recovery and if he would be available in this round or possibly in the second round should we get there? Obviously he probably doesn't get any playing time and there is no shootout for him to coach, but I was just curious if we see him dressed as the backup anytime soon.

I really don't think it matters too much LOL.

The only way it's not Lundqvist is if we are getting blown out in a game and at that point if we bring in Ochocinco it doesn't matter.

Made it pretty clear it doesn't really matter much at all, just curious if he is close to being back if anyone has any info. We get info on Drury and Boogard (Both who were supposedly shut down for the season at times) but never hear anything about Biron.

As far as we all know the bone still hasn't set.

I can honestly hope it does not become an issue.

Its something that if you tweet one of the beat writers, they might ask Torts at some point, but again, he is irrelevant at this point unless Henrik gets injured. I doubt we'll pull Hank in these playoffs if there is any chance at all of salvaging the game left.

Sorry was too lazy to read the first post, just saw Biron status for playoffs and made an assumption.

It sure would be nice to have him back...in case of injury.

Would be nice considering that the Caps have three goalies capable of being a starter and we only have one

It's not meaningless at all. If Hank gets hurt for whatever reason (don't worry, I just knocked on three different wooden surfaces, went outside, turned around three times and spit while throwing salt over my shoulder) then a healthy Biron means we'd still have a fighter's chance at pulling off an upset. Ocho would mean that they could start booking their tee times for next weekend.

This is irrelevant: Henrik Lutenist will play eery play-off game. Barring unforeseen circumstances.

It would be nice to have the security of having a capable backup.

Which is exactly why people are asking.

As it stands, without Biron, if anything were to happen to Hank, you could put a fork in us.

Marty would at least give us a shot. Especially if Hank only had to miss a couple games.

Feel so too, because when Henrik gets injured well have a damn big problem. I like Johnson, but hes far far away from a good NHL goalie, even a AHL one, so it would be better to have Biron on the bench.
So are there some news about his status and if hes available?
