Official Around NHL Playoff thread / NHL News thread

Besides Hawks/Nucks, which series intrigues you the most?

SJ/LA for me. I think Detroit's going to smoke Phoenix and Ana/Nash will be a defensive struggle, a.k.a. snooze-fest.

No one in the East intrigues me, though I think I'm pulling for Boston...

I am actually very intrigued by the Caps/Rangers series

Rangers dominated season series and have Lundqvist who can perform as Halak did last year + Last time these teams meet 2 years ago in playoffs it went 7 games

Will be interesting to see if Washington sticks to their new style in the playoffs.

I don't really know this year. I'm just happy we got in at this point. I guess Anaheim/Nash could be good. Suter/Weber vs. Perry/Ryan/Getzlaf and Anaheims goaltending situation. Will Hiller start? How long untill he does if he does?

Since pretty much all of my good friends are Habs fans, I'll be watching all of that one.

Other than that, honestly not much intrigues me. I'm hoping the Sharks/Kings series is good so I have a random late series to watch at midnight for a couple weeks.

This is easy. BOS-MTL. The rivalry/hate is off the charts this year. the goalie dual, the midgets vs. bullies. the great fans and environment at Bell. original six. It's a beauty.

It's a great 1st round. No result would shock me and I don't think any team will be more much more than a 2-1 favorite in vegas.

BOS-MTL definitely has potential. Also looking forward to PIT-TB. I catch a lot of Penguins games and their performance this season in the face of terrible injuries has been very impressive. I'm rooting for them out East.

Lundqvist will steal a game or two, but not a series in my opinion.

Wings a few minutes away from win (Leading 4-2 now)
Same for Penguins (Leading 2-0)

Caps v Rangers = 0-0 game

Coyotes PP is probably one of the worst things I have ever seen ,, They had a 5 on 3 and it looked like Wings were on PP

I didn't either. The net was clearly still in place.
