(1) VAN vs. (8) CHI WCQF Matchup (All series talk here)

How many games will it go and who ultimately moves on?

Is it 3 time's a charm for VAN or is it CHI for the third year in a row?

Brouwer, Bickell, Seabrook and company: If you read this, obliterate them into the boards.

Hawks in 7.

Crawford will stand on his head and The Rat will return to shut down the Sedins in the nick of time. The defense will also play well and Q will make bottom six adjustments to help keep up with the scoring and speed of Vancouver.

Reason #1 the Canucks should not feel comfortable about the series.

Hawks in 6 games. 7 if Bolland doesn't play in the first couple.

I am going with Hawks in 6

I think the team seeing its season die and then get resurrected will be major motivation and they will storm the Canucks

We did it two years in a row, why not now?

They're missing some players to injuries. Haven't sustained very physical opponents (not that we are but it's the playoffs). And we mind**** Lou boy even during this regular season. We even own them at home. Why not?! BELIEVE!

You guys have every right to be confident and think your team will win. You're the best until somebody beats you in a 7 game series.

But I'm not worried one bit about Luongo heading into this series. He's playing some of his best hockey since he got here and our top 6 d-men are all healthy and rock solid. It's going to be a tough series for sure. I do think the twins can be shutdown by Keith and Seabrook, imo they are the best in the league playing them. It's going to be a lot of fun! hopefully with a different result!

They can be shutdown if/when Dave Bolland returns. Keith and Seabrook are shakier this season.

My one concern with Bolland is how he will play when he returns. It seems like he usually sucks for about a month when coming back from an injury. There's no time for that now. He was playing amazing leading up to the injury.

Right now it's just Manny, but given our defense (Salo's on it, after all) I don't see us making it through the series without an injury or two, regardless of who wins. Alberts hasn't played since he got injurd, but I'm pretty sure he could've come back a week ago if not for cap reasons.

And Torres is out for the first two games, of course.

Well, one positive about having a larger fan base on here is that when 8 of our posters get inevitably banned, we'll still have more than 5-6 people left.

Understand he's doing well but I feel like the Canucks fans have said that about him every single year. "He's different this year, he's been better than ever".

We will see, we certainly will.

After this year, Luongo would have no excuses if they don't get past the second round at least.

After barely scraping into the playoffs it feels like we're playing with house money and there isn't the pressure like there was last year. Today's game should've really put things in perspective for our guys. They have a second chance now so hopefully they do something with it. We've proven this year we can skate with Vancouver and Q always outcoaches AV the same way Babcock always outcoaches Q.

With that said I have no idea what to expect from the Hawks in this series. I don't think anyone here is expecting a serious Cup run but if we can at least knock out Vancouver I'd consider that a moral victory...and hilarious.

Right now nobody. Saturday was the first time all year we had our top 6 d-men playing. Edler looks fine coming of back surgery. Up front we're healthy other than Manny but Torres is suspended for the first two games so our bottom 6 will be weaker than usual. Sammuelson missed a few games down the stretch so I'm not sure if he's 100%

I've never had trouble until certain moderators, cough cough, ehem, certain moderators were a little sore about the loss of a series and felt like infracting me for "flaming" a person who was trolling our board as an incognito Canucks fan.

Before the series starts, I just wanted to say on your board that I think the Blackhawks are a hell of a good team, and I'm proud that British Columbia is represented well on your roster. Whatever other crap has been said between our fanbases, in 09 and 10 the better team won. No question. I was disappointed, certainly, but never bitter. The Blackhawks have deserved their victories against the Canucks.

May the better team win.
