I am really looking forward to it! Look what Philly did last year after just squeeking into the playoffs on a save on Jokinen in the shootout vs. the Rangers in the last game of the season.
I hear you, but getting by Vancouver is going to be tougher than Philly winning any of their playoff series last year.

yes malholtra is abig loss........brings back to the pack

but the additions of edler, bieksa, hamhuis and alberts back from injury is huge

most of our gms vs chi we were missing at least one of our top 2 dman...

i think in the blowout ( where our players had a meeting and got going after tha gm).....we were missing ballard, salo and burrows just came off injury reserve

Go hawks, but I don't have half the confidence in a hawks win as most other fans do. I think this might be Vancouver's year to kick some ass.

Johnson is first in faceoffs? Is Toews in the top 5?

Of all players that have taken more than 300 faceoffs this season, Johnson is the best in the NHL and Toews is 8th.

Most of the Hawks subtractions are additions, by subtraction.

Kane: "Leddy is 20 going on 38" in reference to growing a playoff beard. "Kruger might have trouble. Hes young"

Yes, the Canucks will "retire" from the series after losing the first 3 games. Led by Luongo, the team will just load up the bus and DRIVE back to Vancouver. When he attempts to board the bus AV will find the door has been locked thus making it necessary for him to WALK back to Vancouver. And he will either be pointing at something or have his arms crossed at all times during his trip.

I do believe that once we get Bolland back we will see a completely different team.

Bolland is huge.

Limiting the scoring of their top line will be huge considering we don't get production out of our bottom six like we did last year.

Have you been watching the same team I have all season? There's a very real chance we get swept. There's definitely a better chance of us getting swept than actually winning the series.

Yay bluster. Vancouver is the more talented club. Consistency and skill lead to first place finishes.

Whole new game come playoff time. If Luongo has finally gotten his head on right, we're in trouble. If not, this is a very winnable series.

It's not just Luongo however.

Kesler and Burrows haven't done dick against the Hawks both times, and while the Sedin's have produced, they haven't been great, which is what you need to win, greatness.

Absolutely correct. I expect this to be a close series, and either team winning it shouldn't surprise anyone.

If either team flat out demolishes the other though, that wouldn't be too surprising as well.

This series is wide open and very, very hard to predict.

Crawford's only faced them once, but I expect him to do well especially if the Sedins are limited by Bolland and Keith, Seabrook, and Hjalmarsson play up to standards.

The key to this series:

GET BODIES TO THE FRONT OF THE NET!

It's been proven time and time again that we have Vancouver's number when we do this. I don't care who it is. If we crash the net, we have a very good shot in this series.

That being said, the only people who do this with any sort of consistency is Kopecky and Toews. I hope Q and team realize that they have been given a chance and need to make the most of it. We know how to win against this team, now let's put the plan into action.

Hawks in 7.

If any Hawk fans are attending the games in Vancouver the pregame meeting place is the Shark Club.
Get there early it will be jammed.
Make sure to check out the new Roger Neilson statue outside the arena......I was in town last week when they unveiled it.
It is a beauty.

Go Hawks!!!!!!

Kesler was hurt last year. Burrows has toned down the whack job act although he had Iginla frothing at the mouth on Saturday. Canucks have been stellar all year and should be heavy favorites.

It would sure help to get 36 back (and 22 for good measure). It would help further if our defense started to play at the level they are paid including generating some offense. Oh, and did I mention that CC needs to stand on his head?

Let's get it going boys. We're the Stanley Cup champions. Let's show them why.

In case anyone didn't read the Bolland injury thread, Dave is making the trip to Vancouver. Maybe him and Brouwer will be in the lineup by Game 2.
