No problem...Everyone can have their opinions and well I was drunk posting that Usually European club shirts suck so imo it's improvement... and even more when you look these colors they played with in the 90's:

And Flogging Molly gig was amazing! One of the best live bands around!

A reception for fans on the trip was held last night before the game. The most interesting announcements:

1. There are 135 Ducks fans on the trip.
2. The AAA also had planned a trip for Kings fans. The Kings trip was cancelled due to lack of interest.

Most Queens fans are paying child support and defense attorney fees so they cant afford such things!

That's a great number and welcome all to Helsinki Rock City. I hope it's not too cold then. And Friday night in Helsinki is lively and thirsty

1. Great to see so many brave Ducks fans who are willing to face the cold breath of the North!
2. Lol.

Jokerit will be a good match against the Ducks. They have some serious depth in their team.

I'll be in Stockholm for the Rangers game! So excited, first NHL game ever for me! Hopefully, Jonas gets the start, haven't seen him live since his HC Davos days!

There's also going to be about another 20 or so at the Helsinki game.

Funny considering how they throw in our faces how much they support their team and how we are all bandwagoners.

If somebody of you is reading this and going to visit Helsinki I recommend one cool place to visit. Galleria Kaj Stenvall. He makes oil paintings about Duck(s) and they are very popular.

Here is few of his paintings...

I've seen the work somewhere before, cool.

Time for locals to give some pointers to the travelers about the must see places in Finland and Sweden. Might be helpful to those making the trip.

Well if you have a day to spare and it's a nice weather, go to fortress of Suomenlinna. It's a sea fortress that is located quite near the main market squere by the ocean so you'll have to take a boat (ride takes like 20 minutes). At the fortress you can just walk around and feel like being in totally different time. Also, take a flashlight with you so you can go and explore some of the caves and tunnels of the place. And wear some good walking shoes. Don't go if it's raining or very windy or cold. I'm sure that your hotel will give more information about this destination. Suomenlinna is often ranked very high when people list the best places to visit in Helsinki.

* Some sites for Helsinki visitors:

http://www.visithelsinki.fi/In_English/Visitor.iw3
http://www.visithelsinki.fi/loader.a...c-47e7356e2faa
http://www.designdistrict.fi/news-2011
http://www.visitfinland.com/en/web/g...to-go/overview

* Party calendar (for techno, electro, trance, house, dubstep, reggae etc parties/clubs, click the english flag on top right)

http://klubitus.org/kalenteri.php?

* Must see:

-Suomenlinna Fortress
http://www.suomenlinna.fi/en

-Tuomiokirkko (Helsinki Cathedral @ Senate Square)

-Porvoo, a little town about 50km away from Helsinki, especially in summer time. My favourite small summer town.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porvoo

*Families:

Sea Life, Korkeasaari Zoo, (Linnanmäki Amusement Park is closed that time)

http://www.visitsealife.com/Helsinki...an-your-visit/
http://www.korkeasaari.fi/en/service...torinformation

*And about bar/pub/club scene , restaurants and cafes there is plenty to choose from. Depending what you like. Just search the net or the links above. The downtown is quite small so everything is near to each other and on weekend's especially the nightlife is excellent. I myself prefer partying in the Kallio District which is more bohemian kind of place and there the beer is cheaper and it has that own special feeling... hard to explain you have to visit it ...the amount of different kinds of bars there is huge...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kallio

And when you walk the streets of Helsinki you can same time think about the "underground city" below your feet

My favorite bars and clubs in Helsinki:
http://www.prklclub.fi/
http://www.tavastiaklubi.fi/

Tavastia is the most famous rock club in Finland and apparently one of the oldest that still remain in use in Europe. For decades it's been a big milestone for Finnish bands to get to play there. It's not very big or fancy but it has an important place in Finnish rock history, so you might want to check it out just for that.

I'll definitely be trying the reindeer again in Helsinki. Delicious.

As for Stockholm the reconstructed warship called the Vasa was well worth a visit.

http://vasamuseet.se/en/

The old town (Gamla Stan) is nice to walk round.

And for something different at night you can drink in the Ice Bar...

Off for an early start to the trip, today. First we go to Paris and then on to Helsinki and Stockholm. The weather forecast for Helsinki and Stockholm looks a bit cold for us Southern California wimps, with highs in the low 50's and some rain. That is good weather for ducks, however.
