Favorite song all-time.

I knew all the lyrics to The Wall before I was six years old. Yes, I had something of an odd childhood.

I'm with you there. The Wall was my favorite childhood song.

Another Brick in the Wall(all the Parts).

Waiting for the Worms

Run like Hell

I liked those the best.

I wonder if Zach ever heard of Pink Floyd?

Live at Pompeii is sick. What a great idea to play in the middle of ancient ruins.

Well, he'll definitely be here next year with arbitration. After that, it could be Scott Gomez all over again.

I don't think he will make it until arbitration. Lou will get him signed before it ever gets that far.

I hope so. Do we have cap room to sign him longterm? Another thought: Do we send our number 4 pick to a team with Rolston for a later pick in the 1st round IF it is the only way to sign Parise longterm? I guess I just don't know what our cap situation is.

Yes we have enough to sign him, and all of our Free Agents. We have about 12 million dollars in cap space.

Thanks for the info. Game on for the signings and drafting a player (or 2?) who could come in and contribute right away. When was the last time that happened? Zajac?

Define coming in right away. Zajac didn't make the team until 2 years after he was drafted. Granted we are drafting in a place where finding a player that can jump right to the NHL is possible I don't think you'll our pick making an impact until Fall 2012.

He's supposed to be our next Captain...he better be here next year, and all the years he plays after that.

He'll likely be the 6th or 7th Devil to get his number raised. After Nieds,Marty,Patty and probably Kovy.

If I had to put money on whether Kovy gets his number retired or not I would say he will but it's way to early to be talking about it. Parise too.

Also can we not freak out if its reported that the Devils have filed to go to arbitration. Because remember the Zajac negotiations? They reached a deal before the arbitration date and everyone was happy. I expect the same thing this year.

Lou will most certainly file for arbitration if a deal isnt done before then. it means Parise cant even field offer sheets.

Exactly. Arbitration doesn't worry me one bit. It means some outlandish offer sheet won't come and it buys us some time to discuss and reach a fair price for both sides..

Only problem I have with arbitration is the main board, but **** them.

Hahaha imagine when there is an aribitration.

Value of Zach Parise:

Then Zach Parise to LA:

Zach Parise to Toronto:

The main board will explode.

Arbitration =/= 1 year deal.

Zajac went to arbitration and didn't get a 1 year deal.

Zajac never made it to arbitration but ok.

Team arbitration gives a set dollar amount and a 1 yr deal
Player arbitration gives a set dollar amount and the team chooses 1 or 2 yrs
