What do you want to see?

What do you want to see as far as line ups go? What do you think Q will go with? More importantly who will get called up from Rockford to back up/play? Think we will see Beach get to take on a role left by others (even though it would be worrisome)?

my lines (everyone healthy)-

Sharp-Toews-Hossa/Kane (Keep 1st & 4th line together)
Smith-Frolik-Kane/Hossa (2nd & 3rd line players interchangeable)
Bickell-Bolland-Brouwer
Stalberg-Johnson-Kopecky
(Dowell-Pisani)

Lines if injured stay injured would be like last game vs Detroit.

I'm most concerned about who you put out on the ice as a shut down line. With no Bolland, who do you use? Toews needs to be on offense.

Sharp-Toews-Kane
Smith-Bolland-Hossa
Bickell-Frolik-Kruger
Brouwer-Johnson-Kopecky

If The Rat and The Shat return, this is what I want.

I doubt Q will sit Pisani, Stalberg, and Dowell, though. Even if my lines aren't perfect, these are the players who deserve to play.

The only major change I would consider, is the same that the OP said, in maybe switching Kane and Hossa. Only reason I wouldn't do it for game one, is because Kane has played great against the Cannucks. However, I am really sick of his play of late, but maybe a line demotion would spark him a bit, and also make him feel like the offensive leader and playmaker of the 2nd line. Although, that could definitely get him into some trouble as well, with him forcing it a bit much, leading towards a lot of turnovers.

Besides a few turnovers Kane has been on fire lately.

Sharp/Toews/Hossa(No need to comment)
Smith/Frolik/Kane(Good chemistry)
Bickell/Bolland/Brouwer(killer bees. They were effective for a bit this year)
Kopecky/Johnson/Pisani(if Pisani sucks in the first game, switch him for Kruger.)

I like these lines a lot. Two scoring lines, a shutdown line and a fourth line that can score.

I don't like Brouwer with Bolland. Bolland is a shutdown center. He'll be on a "shutdown line". I can name plenty of wingers who will do better than Brouwer defensively and still put up better numbers on the score sheet.

Yeah, I'd stick Brouwer on the 4th line and move Kopy up to the 3rd. Other than that, let's roll with it.

I figure Connelly , Taffe , Beach , Makarov , Pirri , Toivanen and maybe Cullimore + will be carried as extra's like the Hawks did last year

you ask what I want to see... I want to see a repeat

and not likely...

Brouwer - Toews - Kane
Sharp - Frolik - Hossa
Smith - Bolland - Kopy
Bickell - Johnson - Krüger

after the Wings game... Stalberg, Dowell and Pisani shouldn't play again

Frolik-Toews-Kane-Super Chemistry 5000
Bickell-Sharp-Hossa--Crash steal N score, Sharp returns to center
Smith-Bolland-Kopecky--affective and annoying
Stalberg-Johnson-Brouwer--Grinding with some speed

Sharp-Toews-Hossa
Smith-Frolik-Kane
Bickell-Bolland-Kopecky
Brouwer-Johnson-Pisani

I'll give Pisani games 1 and 2 to find his inner playoff beast, then switch to Kruger.

Pisani AND Kruger over Stalberg? Want to throw in Kruger over Frolik and Smith while you're at it?

I'm posting my "hope lineup" - hoping Bolland and Brouwer are back.

Sharp-Toews-Kane (nuff said)
Frolik-Bolland-Hossa (shutdown with offense)
Stalberg-Johnson-Kopecky (speed and energy)
Bickell-Dowell-Brouwer (big)

**** it I want Sharp back at center

Brouwer - Toews - Kane (I have no idea why I still have faith in Brouwer)
Kopecky - Sharp - Hossa (Very effective against the Nucks last year)
Frolik - Bolland - Smith (Shutdown line with a bit of spark in Frolik)
Bickell - Johnson - Stalberg (blergh)

Kopecky tries to one up Hossa when they are on the same line. Koko works better with Stalberg and Johnson,.

That is true they got quite a bit too cute this year.

Problem is that there's no one else to play on that wing. I think if we're having a shutdown line we need a guy like Frolik on it to act like Versteeg did last year. I'd rather see Kopecky get top six minutes than some scrub like Bickell (unless he actually starts hitting people in which case he will deserve it).
