Playoff Beards

Now is the time to shave your faces and start fresh!!

Are you growing your playoff beard this year gentlemen?

Have you grown one in recent years?

Can you even grow one? If so, is it fierce?

Is your beard comparable to any of the Penguins' beards?

This will only be the 3rd year in a row for me. I started with the long cup run in 2008-2009, and good year at that.

I'll admit, I kinda already have one now (comparable to Tangers), but it's time to let it shine over the next few weeks to a couple months (hopefully)!

Grew one in 07 and 08 and 10. Did not in 09.

Needless to say I will not be growing one.

Moved. I'm hoping we have the time to grow some solid beards. The kind of beard that has that "Game 7 in June" look.

I trimmed as short as I'm willing to today...it'll get pretty gnarly in a couple weeks.

Speaking of Game 7 in June. That is when I got my recent license/picture renewed.

I've done one full on for the last 4 years but I need to get myself a career. I'll be doing a modified version this year where I shave only if I have an interview or something.

Anyone have any ideas?

I can't grow one for the life of me. Mine's more like the MAF with just the soul patch because that's the only part that grows in solid for me. Otherwise I'd be sporting the Sid. Maybe even worse.

Can't really grow a great beard. Looks mostly like Stall I would say, but I surely will be growing again.

This was the day of the game 7 Win vs Det

I'll be rocking just a playoff goatee this year. However I can grow a pretty fierce playoff beard/goatee/whatever I want and I'm only (almost) 23 so I consider myself lucky.

In 2009 I did the full beard thing and whew...that thing was a ***** to shave off the day after we won. Plus my neck was so ****ing itchy. Last year I just grew playoff 'stache as I was lazy. It did look pretty sick though.

Haha, I was hoping to hear that you could grown a mean beard. It must run in the blood of us metal heads!

I'll try to find a good pic of myself where my beard is most fierce.

I trimmed it down. I'll end up looking like Staal in a couple of weeks.

I started like a month an a half ago and then I got sick which made it unbearable. I shaved it off. If I don't start early I'll never have anything respectable so I'll not be sporting anything worth mentioning. Thin hair = longtime to get there.

One day I hope to sport a long goatee.

I already have a burly beard and I'm keeping it. At most, I'll trim it down a little bit. They can shave it the day I die, but I won't be doing it before then.

My facial hair doesn't grow in good on my cheeks for some reason so I never bother with the full beard. Like Metalhead, I grew a mustache during last post-season though. It was trashy beyond belief but most people got a kick out of it lol. I'll either do that or a playoff goatee this year.

I would love to let one grow, but then I would feel strange, because nobody gets it here, and everybody would be joking. I would also not feel good, when going out, plus I have a meeting with a proffessor on the 20th.

but if I'll ever have 2 or 3 weeks I don't need to leave the house, I'll let one grow

I have in the past although my wife hasn't been a fan of it; she'll get over it.
Unfortunately my boss won't so maybe I go the horrible/awesome playoff 'stache.

This.

If small woodland creatures can't nest in it. It's not a true playoff beard.
