So who'se started growing theirs yet?

I figured I'll shave everything off tonight and I'll start growing the beard tomorrow since game 1 = tomorrow.

I refuse to shave my current beard off because I haven't been without facial hair since 1998-99 and i'll look like i'm 17.

Nothing wrong with a headstart!

That's mine from the cup-winning year. Not sure if we'll get that far this year, but I'll give it a shot.

I'm on with the Department now, so all I can grow is a duster... And it's not pretty...

Just shaved my goatee last night for the first time in 4 years.

My face feels weird, I look weird, and I forgot how much it sucks to shave your chin and lip.

As soon as I was done I had the Homer Simpson instant 5 oclock shadow in the shape of a goatee, this face was not made to be hairless.

I haven't shaved since the final day of the season. Gonna see how this works out. Always try, but always end up shaving after 10-14 days.

I just shaved 15 min ago since I have to go in for a make-up day for drill. I had a solid 4 days of growth going on too.

This was a 3 weeker, grown during the 09 Cup run. I might be able to give Talbot and Dupuis a run.

Is that the Gongshow hat?

Mine's pretty crusty from wearing it after hockey games but that's the best Pens' hat out there.

That is the Gongshow shotblocker. I wish they still made this hat. It has seen better days since that pic. The gold is faded to an almost light-yellow, and the seam along the back has started to seperate.

The fraying gives it a different look, but I don't see it lasting another season or possibly even the summer.

Would "growing it out for charity" be a good excuse to still have some scruff during a job interview?

as long as there's a defined line where it looks freshly cleaned up, then I say go for it. I know there's some people who won't touch a razor during the playoffs, but I think an interview might be one of those times where some work might be acceptable.

I'm currently looking for a new job... and I get depressed about thinking of shaving the beard during the playoffs.

Had to shave the "neard" (neck beard) about an hour ago as it was getting way too itchy.

However, here we are not even past round 1 yet and I already have a nice full playoff beard....and a nice looking one at that.

It's not quite to the Dupuis level yet, but soon.
