Why not? He will get a star role in Timrå which will suit him well. It's possible that he is finnished as a player, but he is the player in SEL which most points all-time so it's worth a shot.

Pretty good move by Timrå, replacing Vampola with the cheaper Bremberg.

Reportedly, Frölunda is on the verge of acquiring Freddy Sjöström from Färjestad. Really good news, IMO. Good for all parties.

Indication that Mattias Sjögren is going back to Sweden? Will he be loaned to FBK or released by Caps?

Great news, definitely an upgrade over Koivisto, and it doesn't hurt to have another local boy on the team.

Yup, I think we've got about 12 or 13 Gothenburgers on the roster with Shoey now.

Vampola may be gone but Bremberg and now Johan Motin. Not that bad, timrå really needs a good D. Bremberg might not be a 1ppg+ player like Vampola but Hopefully Timrå wakes up after this break..

Good signings for both Frölunda and Timrå.

He signed a short-term deal with Modo because he just wanted to showcase himself for teams in other leagues.

Yea, Sjöström and Färjestad seamed like a match made in heaven when he signed with you guys. What went wrong? He has played superb for us these three games.

Dont really know. He was not bad but perhaps he wanted to be closer to home and it also meant FBK could spend money on a "new" forward like Hyvönen who could put up more points.

He have played with Lundqvist, Bäckman, Kahnberg and probably some more before. The social situation seem more important once they play in the SEL. In the NHL they can not really choose.

Okey, just minutes later this became official.

Looks like John Klingberg is going to join Skellefteå. Jokerit let him go today saying he's going back to Sweden, and apparently Swedish sources have said his team will be Skellefteå.

John was horrible this year but Jokerit still would have wanted to keep him till next year but John wanted to get back home so they decided to let him go right away. In his rookie year SM-Liiga was just too physical and high level for him.

Great move for John, way better to develop in Sweden. Skellefteå with 4(!) juniors on D? Edström, Granberg, Alm, Klingberg.

And two 1st-year seniors. ( Burström, Styrman (inj) ). Could be costly in Playoffs.

Would be nice to see him getting the chance from the beginning like Rundblad did with large minutes. And if it doesn't pay off after some games let him play for J20 and get a Thomson-hell summer to build himself up a bit and come back next year.
