Sal from Montreal

Everyone from Montreal who listens to Team 990 knows who I am talking about. Last year, Sal talked some sense into this team and got things going. Anyone heard him on the radio lately? I think we need a warmup call before the series begins.

Sal!

I think we should propose a Sal avatar request in the playoff avatar theme thread

Sal, though a huge hockey fan is more of an embarrassment than a mascot. Talk about bipolar fan. Let's leave him out of this and focus on beating the bruins!

Oh yeah, Sal is basically the bafoon of the Montreal fanbase, he's like that kid on your hockey team as a kid whose dad used to ***** out his coaches for not giving him enough ice time even though he sucked, so now he's all grown up and he's taking his anger out on radio hosts cause he's no hab himself

If he is he certainly doesn't have the balls to admit who he is. I'd peg him as more of a lurker

That has to be a joke...complaining about Hamrlik being on the ice at the end of a period in a playoff game... What's wrong with having your best all around D there when it counts?

A lot of what he's saying had to deal with exactly what was going on at that time last year. When we all play Captain Hindsight, a lot of his comments can be made fun of but I remember a lot of us were REALLY pissed last year.

This was after the game 4 loss to Washington... I remember hearing the original call on the radio driving home to Ottawa from the game, loved it then and knew it was an epic call. I'm not sure if any of the players heard it, but it seemed like it sparked some action into them, or maybe it was just a coincidence.
