FANTASTIC! lubo really stepped up this year, I'm real happy we got him. 4 years is a very worthy contract for him and I hope he eventually retires with us.

Good, I thought he was our most effective dman last year and he showed how good he can be. He is the reason Modry is gone, and I dig him for that.

I think if Ziggy see's a lot of players like this on the kings he will come back, beacuse we would be a cup contender.
For Lubo I got to say that he has been one of my favorite players and i know that he is a future Norris Trophy winner.

Thank God we locked him up for 4 years....I remember I was pretty down on him in his sophomore year, but he really impressed this past season. Not only is he a great breakout passer and releases a great shot, he is very smart defensively. I agreed with Norstrom this past season; if Lubo wasnt injured, he should have been at the All-Star game...

I am quite happy with the Kings locking up Lubo. He has such spirit and he's a nice guy, smiles a lot. As much of a Matty fan as I am, I too agree that Lubo should've gone. Thank god Slodry is gone. The D for next season seems to be pretty solid. I hope Miller can stay healthy, the china doll that he is. Now they need to work on the up front situation.

According to NHLPA, Visnovsky will be making 1.8 million next year. A well deserved raise.

Quote:
The Kings retained a key member of their defense Friday, agreeing to a four-year, $9 million contract with restricted free agent Lubomir Visnovsky.

Visnovsky, 28, had eight goals and 21 assists in 58 games for the Kings last season. The 5-foot-10, 188-pounder has 27 goals and 86 assists in four seasons with the team.

He was in the middle of his best offensive season in 2003-04 when he missed two months with nerve damage in his neck.

He will receive $1.8 million in the upcoming season, $2 million in 2005-06, $2.5 in '06-07 and $2.7 in '07-08.
