Was tempted to get AHL live or whatever their streaming service is. That was until I realized it was $150 to watch only Springfield. I spend less than that for the NHL, for the entire league.
Good start for Springfield, but damn, stay out of the box! They've given up 14 powerplays in the first two games, including a couple of 5-on-3s. Fortunately, they've only allowed one goal.
Falcons looked pretty good today. McElhinney made a couple huge saves, though he also nearly gave up an empty-netter when he played the puck and almost didn't get back into the crease in time. If there's one upside to the lockout, it's that it's allowing RyJo to work on things. He looked good today.
"Stay out of the box" is something they'll need to work on. Two lengthy 5-on-3s against (though they killed off both).
