This is just the Ducks way of playing in the playoffs for a long time. get prepared for more nonsense. Even when they are winning they'll do crap like that

Suter and Weber put on a CLINIC. Absolute CLINIC.

RPG was nowhere to be found, this after being the hottest line coming into the playoffs.

Gotta keep rolling Friday too.

Brookbank was hit with a 10 minute misconduct at the end of the game for his nonsense.

Good to see the dan ellis that lost his job to rinne but I almost wish we hadn't chased him. If we had won 3-1 they might have kept ellis for tomorrow and then if hed had a meltdown we would be up 2-0

Preds played an insanely smart game up until the second half of the third period already up by 4. Gotta be concerned about the Predators losing their cool and giving up powerplays.

The team got off to a good start and the team played solid hockey. The entire team played solid defense and got the job done from a defensive stand point. I'd like to see the team generate more constant pressure in the offensive zone. Also, the Ducks grinder lines did a good job pinning Weber and Suter in the defensive zone when the forwards couldn't clear the puck. Hope that doesn't happen too much. Fischer with some great play. Legwand and Ward looked pretty bad this game.

Hopefully the team settles down and doesn't think they have won the series. Alot more hockey to played. I was hoping they would get one by Emery to put some doubt in him.

Looking at the boxscore on NHL.com, ANA had 14 player scratches in game 1?

Good game all around.

Trotz made the right all in who to scratch. Sullivan looked good, and scored the all important 2nd goal.

Fisher is finding his groove here. HornQ with a nice game.

Erat-Legwand-Ward, not so much, but still time to pick it up.

Suter/Weber- dominate.

Klein shaky, but liked him pounding Perry. It wasn't dirty either. Perry had dropped his gloves.

O'Brien- Gotta stay cool or it could really hurt us.

Rinne- yep.

Congrats, Preds. The better team won tonight. No shame in admitting that as a Ducks fan.

I have to say the Ducks fans are still quite easy going. Now I hate your team with every fiber of my being right now but the fans are fairly good.

Whoohoooo!!! My new drinking strategy is now 1 for 1. I think I have to at least have one drink every game this playoff now. I have to admit when I saw Sully in at first I was like but he played pretty hard and that goal was all determination. For one night I'll back off of him. It feels damn good Preds fans! Enjoy it and Friday is back to business!

I didn't read any posts here...

Klein made a ***** out of Perry there. Sure it drew a penalty, but you have to keep Perry out of the crease. Klein had the perfect time to do so. Our team played exactly the game it needed to. Offense buried chances. Defense limited chances. Rinne stopped what he needed to. We showed toughness when we needed to, but without hurting ourselves. Good times

Syracuse is out, so the "Black Aces" are up, just to get some experience practicing with the team, and the select few being options to insert into the lineup.

All in all, you guys dominated, and deserved that win hands down. Officiating was very poor, and prolly Nashville favored, but there definitely should have been a double minor on Brookbank, and it definitely had 0 impact on the final score.

Really looking forward to Friday, hopefully the Ducks come out with some bite and make it worth watching!

Agreed. Dunno if Perry dropped them because I wasn't at home watching, but I'll take Kleiner being an annoying ******* out there. Way to go, 8. Let's keep it going!!!

Agreed to a point. I don't think it was favored, but the Brookbank boarding was lucky to be called for two (with that said we got away with a couple). You're absolutely right. Either way it makes no difference in this one.

Bring it on Friday. It'll be a much tighter game. I'm almost willing to bet my house on it.

I was hoping to not have to play Nashville the first round as I was looking to be able to root for them. I'm a Ducks fan above all (followed closely by Jersey) but I've got a real appreciation for the grind it out and get it done as a team mentality that the Preds seem to have.

So I'm hoping for a Ducks win, of course, and I'm certainly hoping that they bring it on Friday. But if Nashville happens to take out the Ducks I'm going to be rooting for them to go all the way, and probably only a bit begrudgingly

You guys really need to keep the tight checking on the RPG line.

Still winning one in the Staples center is huge! The D coverage today was fantastic imo. Active sticks and good positioning.
