nice goal by chicago. they're hanging in there, but slow starts are gonna kill them in this series if it continues.

Do you think McLellan would be fired with another year of playoff failure?

He would be an awesome replacement for Richards.

It really hurts when your team misses playoffs, and you're bandwagoning the postseason-Bruins...

that canuck guy came off as scared ****less of john scott.

"there's a couple other 6'8" guys in the league..why doesn't he challenge them to a fight." *sniff sniff whimper*.
**** it...if i'm scott and someone just rails one of the gunners just grab him and beat the piss out of him. not like he's going to play useful minutes in the game or the series--they won't really miss the shifts.

Earlier today I decided that, when I get my Jets jersey, it's going to be a Selanne #13. That performance just makes me feel validated.

All the pundits are saying anything less than an ECF appearance at the very least will put Bruce Boudreau's ass in the hot seat. Should Chuck Fletcher wait on his coaching decision until we see how the Caps do in the playoffs? Bruce might be available at some point.

I don't think the Wild will be in a big rush to name anyone as a coach. There's really no hurry as camps and everything isn't for some time. And then of coarse there's still teams out there playing.

Also, first mistake hawks' fans made this postseason? Incorporated the Minnesota Wild into their avatars. Hell, they should have known right then and there that their chances were dead. Quite frankly, at this rate they're lucky half the team isn't out with concussions...

alright...these coaches may be fired for not winning the cup. they have far superior teams to ours. a lot of people here would be calling for their heads in the same situation (many bridesmaids moments, never the bride).

I'm confused why the desire to hire them. If they can't get a cup win with teams filled with talent, what the hell are they going do with our roster?

I'm getting the sense Crawford will be in the running for it. Just a theory.

Chicago is getting outplayed in the 1st and it will be the reason they lose against Vancouver. The issue with Vancouver is that the farther they go the more pressure they'll have to face with their fans and the expectations that this is the "year" and I seriously and honestly don't think it is for them. They may make it to the finals, but just a feeling the East would steamroll them depending on who they play.

Don't think this incarnation of the Canucks will feel the pressure of their fans until they lose a game badly. Have to disagree about the eastern teams steamrolling them, too. Think they'll rip up whoever comes out of the east if they make it that far. Not exactly what i want out of the playoffs (omg can you imagine how insufferable the fans will be on these boards if they actually get a cup? Bad enough now...)
but they've looked strong all year, and Luongo is actually playing well which was my only reservation about their chances going into this.

Wow, Boston's like a whole new team this game. Evidently the secret is just to not be the home team.

I'm disappointed the Habs couldn't pot another in the third, but that period was easily some of the most entertaining hockey I've ever seen. Holy wow.
