So I just noticed the Phils are 9-4 at home, 9-4 away, 9-4 against the NL East, and 9-4 against the NL Central and NL West combined. That's consistency. Let's close out the Mets and get back to tied for best record in baseball.

I expect Lee to really be on tonight. Hopefully we can get a few runs early and just watch him go.

18-8 is about as good as you could hope for coming out of the first month with the inconsistent hitting and the injuries. The pitching has been pretty much as expected. I'd like to see Mayberry get some more at bats over Ibanez. Raul has looked his age so far.

Nah...the games that I've been able to watch have been on MYPHL which doesn't come in in HD where I am. All the ESPN games are blacked out and ones on CSN and TCN I haven't been able to watch for other reasons.

Ya, that should give Philly fan's rep a shot in the arm, but the Phillies offense is looking more and more woeful as this game goes on. Ibanez needs to sit down for a while. I think Mayberry Jr. should start in his place even if there's a righty starter he's up against in a particular game. Ibanez is ice cold, and it looks like Mayberry has been having better ABs.

It's funny, I was at work watching the game on TV with no sound and happened to look up in the ninth inning to see ESPN showing all these fans checking their phones. I turned to my partner and said, "typical ESPN. Showing our fans checking their phones in the 9th of a tied game to make it look like we're all fairweather." Little did I know lol.

Yeah I still don't trust this guy either, but last night's loss was on the offense. Krazy K may have gotten the L but he only gave up 1 run over 3 innings and it really shouldn't have gotten to that point in the game. All I could hear from Mr. Met Bobby Valentine is that the Mets should've already won had they not blown their opportunities, but the Phils had plenty of their own and failed as well.

Didn't he try to say multiple times "well I have an emotional connection to them, BUT..." It was pathetic, why is he doing national broadcasts.

Because he's better than Joe Morgan.

But yeah, he should recuse himself if he's going to be there for a Mets game. I don't mind if a color guy is there for a broadcast in which his former team is playing as it gives some insight into that organization, but you've gotta show a little more objectivity than he did last night.

E: Late edit, sarcastic thought just crossed my mind. I think Ibanez is going for a reverse Mantle, going 0 for 56 (because not getting a hit in 56 straight games is an impossibility as he'll just sit before then).

Phillies offense is woeful, but J-Roll in the 3 spot is such a joke. Move him down to 2.

Vic
Rollins
Polanco
Howard
Franciso
Mayberry
Ruiz
Valdez
pitcher

The lineup when Utley gets back (and I really should put IF) is a LOT better.

Vic
Polanco
Utley
Howard
Franciso
Rollins
Mayberry
Ruiz
pitcher

I can't really argue against that idea, although if he does get moved anytime in the future it might be to lead-off and Vic back at 2. Would be nice to see if Charlie ever tries it. I want to see Howard with men on base, and Polly is better at getting on base and putting the ball in play than Rollins when men are on the base path (see: Rollins, RBI totals).

After Dom Brown tears up AAA for 3 or 4 weeks I would call him up and have platoons in at both of positions.

Cole pitched pretty damn good. He's trying to keep up with Halladay.
