Raul doesn't seem like he can catch up to any pitch over 90. He did good tonight but Hernandez doesn't exactly throw fast.

Oh yeah. If he keeps this up he's got a shot, as long as his offense provides him some run support on a decent basis. I know Felix won it in the AL last year with poor run support, but I have a feeling that giving it to a near .500 pitcher will not happen too often in the future. Apart from that scenario the only thing that could threaten Cole's chances of being a CY contender is if someone like Josh Johnson has a freak complete year after his amazing start and runs away with it.

My buddy was at the game today in the Mayor's box. So jealous.

Edited bolded, I gotta proofread more often.

Yeah Johnson is having a great year but so is Doc. Maybe in a month or so we will ahve a better idea about the race.

So Roy Oswalt leaves the team mysteriously for personal reasons and while he is gone Osama Bin Laden is secretly taken out. Coincidence? I think not...

In better news, Worley is looking pretty good so far.

And Ibanez is hitting, mercifully. I also have no problem with Herndon getting sent down with Romero being reactivated.

Agreed. Good riddance to Herndon.

Looks like Baez is back to his 2010 form, I was getting worried.

Yea Herndon was just terrible.

We'll see if Raul can hit off someone who can throw faster than 85.

Was at the game last night, Worley looked really solid. Loved what I seen, Raul smacked a homerun, right after I turned to my cousin and was like "Raul sucks, he won't hit it" And there it went... Lol. Fun times, It was my first game this year, had such a good time.

It's fun seeing someone in a long ass slump break out of it with some crazy play in the past few games.

I believe with your original statement, 2 games isnt going to change my idea. he obviously isnt a 140 hitter, I will say he hits around 245-265.

KK will start tomorrow inplace of Oswalt, he may be put on the DL.

Agreed on the Ibanez part.

As for Oswalt, crap. KK's start tomorrow will hopefully only be just 1, and let's pray he doesn't **** the bed. For as much as I would rather he not start, it's inevitable, and he hasn't done too bad so far this year. Both of his losses came from those extra inning games that should've never gotten to him to begin with. His ERA is currently 2.08, but his WHIP right now isn't good. So Phils are going to need to be on their toes defensively tomorrow and hopefully swing the lumber well.

The silver lining to the cloud that is Kendrick: Worley will probably stay up as Blanton is due to return soon.

Obviously I dont want anyone to get hurt, but you are correct about this in regards to Worley. i think Blanton is supposed to start Monday so I wouldnt mind letting Worley get 2 or 3 starts.

As far as KK, he cant get left handed hitters out. I have no confidence in him.

Yeah, he stinks against lefties, but the free passes he gives out concern me more.

More on topic in regards to tonight's game, I can't stand Lowe.

Cliff Lee is this year's Cole Hamels. No run Support. 7IP 16Ks.

Was thinking the same thing. Lowe was dealing for the most part too, but what made me especially mad was the Phils lack of focus at certain at bats, especially Howard and Francisco. After Lowe exited the game they had men on 2nd and 3rd with 0 outs and both Howard and Francisco went fishing for something to hit and subsequently struck out seemingly without ever realizing that 1st was open and unless O'Flaherty made a mistake they weren't going to see something to hit.
