confidence...laugh. this game will probably go straight to current script. 0-0 after one. if the caps don't score by halfway the thread will start to get nervous and angry. if the rangers score first, the room will start yelling and calling for firings. then the caps win anyway.
If Price really continues to stand on his head, I think the Habs have a good shot at taking that series. They have a better coach, and Boston can't score consistently.
In the other series, I just dont see how Buffalo is going to weather the pressure of that deep and relentless Philadelphia offence for three more games. Buffalo's defence isnt particularly good, and they have only one line that can score, thats it. Throw Pronger into the mix, and I see Philly prevailing in that one (hopefully exhausted and beat up).
Probably more appropriate for a different thread, but whatever.
People seem to forget that Stafford scored 31 in only 62 games this year. He played with Ennis and Boyes last night. It was the Gerbe/Gaustad/Kaleta line that scored last night. The Sabres have a lot more scoring depth than people are giving them credit for. Especially if Roy can come back.

Pretty decent back-up goalie != Henrik Lundqvist. Henrik is the biggest weapon the Rangers have, and if he's neutralized it's a huge plus for the Capitals. Even if their replacement isn't half bad, it's not another Lundqvist.
The main board GDT post-scrubbing has begun. That thread just lost a whole page of length.
So far they have deleted all the Caps posters responding to Puckface NYR but all his posts are still there. So it's almost like he is having a conversation with himself, which is even more humorous than before.
i think we would all be content if they won the series and went to the next round. i'd be happier if it was less then 7 games. i am not going to start getting po'd at a game 7 before the game if there is one.
Caps could really use a non 7 game series. A win tonight would be a big step in that direction.
Amen to that. I'm not one to get too up or too down based on the result of Game 1 so I've largely held my emotions in check so far. But a win tonight gets them closer to a first round series that goes < 7 games and that would be huge for this team if they're planning on a deep run.
