Very happy, but it's just one game.

- Price was epic
- White's a joker
- Chara's an idiot
- GOMEZ!!!

Alright, I will compose myself again. Great defensive game by the Habs, outstanding road game, that is what I'd like to see.

I'm not going to lie, I think I remember you supporting me on my claim about Gomez in a thread once. Good to see some level-headed fans around here, who can actually call themselves fans for supporting their players! Gomez deserved it, cheers.

Can't believe how people are just letting this go under the radar. Dude's a Monster. Yes, I said it; a Monster.

But tomorrow, you'll just hear how we should just trade him in a heartbeat for good canadian boy Ryan Clowe. Some things will never be appreciated.

I'm glad to see him get credit when it's deserved. If he can keep playing on his foot and keeps it up, The Bruins are in for a surprise. He could be Montreal's Dark Horse.

Boston after was a team with a short fuse. Krejci, when asked about Subban. said "I don't like him." Thomas, asked about the first goal, said "What am I, a play by play announcer?" And Julien, when asked if he was going to be more physical, said "Now why would I tell you that?"

They mad!

They used Darche & White in the crease on power plays. The coaching staff is intelligent(You could see Muller yelling instructs on CBC from bench like a Soccer Coach) & I like to think they are having brain storming meetings Daily as where the other higher seeded teams that make the playoffs are playing the same old.

Hold on to your seats, this is going to be a roller coaster ride week & I'm glad I'm in the Red car.

I can't watch it on my laptop for whatever reason, but let me guess, are they doing the triple low-five?

We got the first goal early today, and then shut them down well. We had a few tough shifts in the 2nd, which got their shot total up, but otherwise, it was pretty even.
We don't play the same style as them. Boston has a very aggressive defensive system. They will chase you around and play physical, try to hit you at any opportunity.
We play more of a positional game. We don't have a problem with letting the opponent cycle to puck around the board in our zone for 2min as long as we block the shooting lanes and keep the shots from the perimeter.

I don't think we can win every game by scoring 1-2goals, but at the same time, we didn't need to open up and play from a trailing point. We'll have to see how we adapt to that, but if we're in the lead, I have no issues with playing the same way we have tonight.

Smart positionally, smart forecheck, patient, attacked at the proper time, absolutely brilliant at keeping the front of the net cleared, limiting shots to the outside, getting in shooting lanes and blocking shots.

This was not a steal by the goalie, not at all, and if Plekanec scored on at least two of his open nets, it would have been a pure clinic.

The Habs showed tonight exactly why I always felt nobody would want to face us in the POs. We are an extremely frustrating team to play against. What makes it even more frustrating to other teams is that we don't do this from being a big physical team. We are a very smart hockey team.

I know this is only one game, but it is the same way we played last year except even better.

I love it, and hope this continues.
An outright steal by the goalie, hard to say, but his flawlessness was the underpinning. In that regard it's been an extension of the late regular season. However there were a few plays where he made stops in the near dark because of his vaunted positioning and that's a clear sign that he's inching in on meeting his potential as a clutch athlete.

From goalie on out this game was executed like a plan that was drafted by a detail oriented coach for a road game. Martin critics and Laracquian conspiracy theorists take that.

It is a nerve wracking style of play what this Martin guy puts on the ice, but I can't imagine it's going to be any other way from this point forward.

Plekanec brilliant.
Captain G. played like a captain.
Price flawless.
Gomez the X factor

One down, 15 to go.
