"It has not been a good day. I lost my glasses early this morning and I had to go buy a pair of 79 dollar reading glasses today. 79 bucks. You can literally get them at Costco, three-for-20." - Darryl Sutter's response to going up 2-0 in the series.
Obviously we'd all take him back but I think the adversity of him being out and all the "experts" and analysts doubting the rest of the team has had a positive effect on the squad. They're rallying together and playing hard and leaving it all on the ice and we're seeing the results of that.
At the game right now. Only Kings fan I can see from my seat (section 223). I've had empty beer cups, ice, and their rally towels thrown at me all game. Kinda disappointed by how low their fans are acting, but I won't stoop to their level. I'm just flipping them the bird and telling them to look at the score.

I agree actually, which is weird because usually in sports when the star goes down the team immediately rallies and then comes crashing back down to earth, but the Kings seem to have done it the other way around. I don't know whether or not it is only because of the whole Kopi situation, but either way it seems like the team finally has their heads out of their collective *****.

Cowards. I am loving this right now.
You can use the rally towels to wipe off their hate.

I think it's also bravado. Guys like Doughty and Johnson expect to be in the playoffs every season. They find they extra gear, not just physically but mentally as well, when every game is the most important game. There's no "going through the motions" gear for a lot of the young guys we have out there. It's full throttle and they're having fun doing it. It's a beautiful thing to watch isn't it?
