Erik Ersberg (Salavat) win the Gagarin Cup

Congratulations Erik... It's great to see such a stand up guy go the distance, even if it's just with the KHL. Thank you again for all of your years of service. It couldn't have happened to nicer guy.

BTW... Check out his stats.

Regular Season: Games 18 11-5-1 GAA 2.12 Sv% 92.6
Playoffs: Games 20 15-4-0 GAA 1.93 Sv% 93.3

Very happy for him. It is unfortunate how things went down for him here, but it was unavoidable. From the looks of things, he will have a long and profitable career there. Good for him.

I wonder if he can latch on in the NHL as a backup next year. I think he has the ability. Who would be in the market?

Now I looked up Salavat, which led me to Pro Russian Jerseys who have them for $75 each and now I want a bunch of Russian hockey jerseys.

I blame this thread.

Conrats to the Iceberg. He had the ability, he was just handled all wrong by Terry Murray. I am always glad to see good Kings players do well elsewhere.

Does anyone know how that small selfish winger we used to have is doing in Montreal?

Yeah, I wish he'd get another shot at the NHL somewhere. He showed lots of promise.
