Its almost as if there is a method to the madness with our goalie situation...Boosh seems to really turn it up a notch when he is called upon to bail us out of a game, and Bob seems to be able to rebound after a bad or shakey outing and play well.I honestly feel a bit more relaxed with Boosh in the nets of late, and for whatever reason the team seems to settle down a little with him......But having said that, Bob is one of them cats you just can't help but like, and you know in the back of your mind that he is capable of coming up big with his athleticism etc.....Whatever Lavy decides to do i am good with.Either way, our team just needs to keep playing a good solid 60 minutes, and most of it needs to be 5 on 5 hockey or better ! LOL
I say give him one more shot. The last two goals were saves he should've made, but also situations that good defense could have prevented. He's bounced back from bad performances in the past, so I say we see what he can do.
That being said, I wouldn't be surprised or disappointed to see Boosh. They both have their pros and both have their cons.
Personally, I think we should go with Boosh considering his good play on Saturday and the fact that they are tied 1-1 going into Buffalo. Boosh is a proven vet that can handle playoff road games.
On the other hand, I voted Bob because he almost always bounces back after bad performances and Lavy recognizes that.
Boosh should play BUT this would imply that the Flyers are done with Bob for the year - no chance to bounce back, no chance to regain confidence. Bob would be useless sitting on the bench.
I think Bob gets one more outing to show how he can handle himself. If he falters again...well let's talk about that later
I said Boosh, but only if he blows it. Ride the hot hand. You don't have to have a guy start all the games just to have him start all the games. If Boosh is playing better keep him between the pipes. If he starts to play poorly, you've got a capable guy in Bob sitting on the bench.
i don't think we have the time to risk giving bob "another chance." it's a best of 5 series now. every game is a must win. we can't afford to gamble right now. boosh all the way. he's quietly had a very impressive year and bob could learn a bit from watching a goalie with playoff experience.
