Lavi should flip a coin and play Leighton if it lands in its edge.

Exactly. If we play Bob and he lets in some early stinkers and gets pulled again he is toast. And this time our offense may not be able to turn things around.

you have to reward boosh for his solid play last game.. if you bench him it sends him a statement saying "even if you play well, you won't play".. so boosh may feel like.. whats the point in playing well if i dont have a shot to play next game.. similar to how boston has killed rask this year.. he gets shutouts and then doesnt see the ice for 5 games.

I'm torn. I want to say Boucher simply because his presence may be a calming effect on the road, his puck control is so much better and he has that veteran experience to rely on in a crucial game for momentum swing. But my heart says to throw Bob to the lions, give him his chance to rebound and it may serve us in his long term interests. I too think that keeping him out shows him lack of confidence that may hinder him in being an option the rest of the series.

Whomever gets the nod gets my support 100%. I pray for a game of solid fundamentals in both ends of the rink.

Ruff's wost nightmare was seeing BOB get pulled and Boosh come in.

Bob needs to check his pants I think he may have to change them.

With Boosh we know what we will get, with Bob it's a crap shoot (his pants )

Agree!! And maybe Laviolette should put Leighton on backup of boosh. I don't think Bob can be a savior. It's too much for the kid like him and it's normal IMO.

The Flyers can't count in their goalies to steal a game. I compare that to Detroit with James Howard or Christ Osgood or to Chicago last year with Niemi.

We honestly just cant risk letting Bob start again. If we were up 2-0 in the series I think it would be different....but we really need this win, and I can't see Bob in net instead of Boosh. Boosh got us a win, and I believe we ride the hot hand.

Pulling Bob for Boosh is one thing...putting him in the press box for Leighton, who hasn't even been a member of this team all year, is undue punishment and will probably have a long-term effect.

Boosh. Even Halak sat for Price last playoff after an "off" game. The whole season has involved them swapping spots, might as well continue that trend.

He is not a child... Boosh will play to the best of his abilities because he is paid to do so, and he wants to win as much as the rest of them.

Not playing well because you didn't get your cake, is exactly how you find yourself off a team, and struggling to find a new contract.

Sergei Bobrovsky has really not taken any shots during today's morning skate. It has been almost entirely Leighton and Boucher. Interesting

i agree with you entirely.. im just saying that if he knows he will start the next game based on good performance, he may play to that extra level.. it has to get in their heads a little, regardless if they are being paid or not i would think.

Boucher

Not rattled at playing playoffs, calming presence for the D. Let him ride it out for a bit, see what happens.

Panaccio on Twitter : Leighton full locker. That implies he backs up Boosh

Bobrovsky doesn't have a locker stall, Boosh and Leighton do though!

DNFlyers
Sergei Bobrovsky does not have a locker in the Flyers locker room. Tells you all you need to know. He will probably not be in the lineup.

sbaicker
So ... Bobrovsky literally has no locker here in Buffalo
