We badly need Halpern for faceoffs, hope he can come back soon and Pouliot can take a seat.

What we wouldn't give for Yannick Perrault for faceoffs right now!

Gotta give credit where credit is due. Boston played one hell of a road game, capitalized on their chances when they had them, and did everything necessary to protect their one goal lead at the end of the third.

That's just plain horrible. Habs need to be better on the dot to play their puck possession style.

Or, not whipped a rolling puck back around the net along the runner to an isolated Hamrlik when he (Spacek) was already less than 10 feet from the blueline and all the forward support was already moving up ice. That was my major problem with the 1st goal shakedown.

A loss, followed by bashing Gomez. What a surprise.

16 minutes to get it done and we didn't. Also, Spacek needs to sit next game; I don't care if Weber or Mara plays, his braindead play is costing us.

Wiz was a beast; PK needs to get rid of the puck quicker, the dipsy-doodling will only work so much.

We just need to begin the game like we ended that one. That was dominance out there. Hope Hamrlik is alright, although he had trouble tonight... but I'd be confident with Mara. And I hope Halpern is ok to go, and takes the place of Pouliot, at least he'd add the faceoff element we have trouble with...

Chara looks more pale than the cast of twilight. He is sick, maybe with some ogre disease.

The Bruins changed their system. They had a 3-2 system going for the first half of the game with a full-on forecheck. Their D cut off our wingers along the boards near the blue line. We solved the problem in the last half of the game. Plus, we got too excited in the beginning. Once we settled down, we out-scored them 2-0. We'll win game 4, lose game 5 and win game 6. Habs in 6 as most of us said.
This game never should have been close without Thomas's two softies, you better win game 4 or you guys are in big trouble. The B's now have 2 full days to recover from the flu virus, I expect them to be much better next game, hopefully Thomas stops giving you momentum with the softies.

I expect more than an okay game from Gomez. He's supposed to be a leader on this team. He's soft along the boards, he coughs the puck up way too much, and he absolutely blows on faceoffs.

He played a strong game in game 1, but has pretty much disappeared since then. He doesn't seem willing to pay the price like other guys on the team.

Not blaming him for the loss, just didn't like his game tonight.

They really did. I was stewing a bit about it there, and then one of the colour guys started commenting on the linesman letting Bruins put their stick down last (and occasionally dropping the puck before the Bruin centre had his stick down, giving him the advantage) despite being the away team.

Dude, Gomez made one strong move that resulted in a Habs goal, and set up another. Other than that, the rest of his icetime that game looked no different from his last two games.

His ina inability to do anything but shoot when he has the puck is almost shocking... I guess he is just convinced that he doesnt have the puck skills or vision to make any other play so he doesn't even bother to try.

Very much boom or bust with him... If he doesn't get a shot to go in, he's not a very useful hockey player

They'll get 'em next game. Boston was panicking the second half of the game. Habs were all over them. Gotta score on the PP. They do that and this game was tied at the very least.

EDIT:
Wiz finally unleashing his cannon in the 3rd, but was passing it off to PK most of the game. Don't hesitate...just shoot it.

Bah, I watched the whole game, I don't need to have it analyzed over & over. Home crowd got to the Habs, who played stupid in the first period as a result, Bruins capitalized, then laid back and tried to run out the clock. Thomas gave AKots something of a freebie, it woke the Habs up, then it was full steam ahead and the Habs almost salvaged it.

As long as they learn the lesson about being ready to play the moment the puck is dropped, they'll be fine. I'd even go so far as to say they should stick to a simple gameplan for the first period in game 4. Don't try to do too much or perform for the crowd. Do the little things right and the rest will follow. Boston is a very beatable team. It took Montreal's worst 27 minutes of the series for Boston to take & hold a lead.

I'll say this again though: ****ing bench Spacek.

Still can't believe people want Hamrlik back. Incredibly overrated on these boards.

If the Habs can't win 2 of 3 at home, then they don't deserve to win the series.

What's more frustrating is that we have to wait an extra day for game 4. Hate that. I would have preferred a game tomorrow than Thursday. Of course with a win today I would have been ready to wait 4 days
