I'll take Jarnkrok until Pulkkinen proves he's got the wheels to stick at the NHL level. Hopefully both guys spend the summer in the gym with Pulkkinen doing sleds and Jarnkrok doing upper body and core.
I wonder if Hat Trick Dick gets a shot at coming over to try and win a spot in training camp.
"Left-winger Dick Axelsson (Farjestad, Swedish Elite League) won his second championship in three years and finished tied for seventh in league scoring with four goals and six assists in 14 post-season games."
I'm starting to wonder when some of our prospects will cross over to the AHL. Who is going to make the Wings is a saturated topic. but when do you think our junior/college/overseas players are going to start their stint in the AHL. This year it was Nyquist's and Smith's first spin in the A'.
Next year? Year after that?
Here's some guys I'd want to hear your opinion on.

Actually Nyquist played college hockey this past year but joined the Griffs briefly on a tryout after his college season ended. He will get his first full year in the A next season. So college prospects are pretty straight-forward, at least the grade A prospects like Jimmy Howard, Justin Abdelkader, Smith and Nyquist. Sheahan will likely get the same treatment.

Reason: small update

In the playoffs, Jarnkrok had three goals in three games before separating his shoulder. It’s a big off-season setback for Jarnkrok, who “can’t do anything for three months,” according to Andersson. He’ll now spend the summer on rehab instead of advancement.

I'll take Jarnkrok for the record.
Ick. I forgot about that. That's going to set his development back at least a full year, since summer is the only time these guys can actually add muscle and weight. I remember Z once said he loses something like 10-15 pounds every season from start to finish just from the grind.
Point production in a notoriously easier league to score in.
Yes, but that doesn't really change anything. Comparing his point totals to the Flip brothers he's had a better season than either of them did before leaving for Detroit and they've both been allright over here. You have to go back to players like Selänne, Saku Koivu and Olli Jokinen to find a player with those kind of point totals at his age in the SM-liiga. So it is pretty darn impressive, despite it being harder to score in the SEL.

I knew that but he still officially played his first pro game this season.
As for the Ironhook/Pulk debate. I'll go off the board and say Pulkkinen.

Pulkkinen had his own shoulder issue during his draft year and he's come back no worse for wear so hopefully this won't be much of a setback for Jarnkrok.

That's a straw man. No one said it wasn't impressive.
The thread is "Jarnkrok or Pulkkinen?"
Point production is not a good barometer. That's all I said. Which is what most people already know. It's like comparing OHL and WHL guys with QMJHL guys pre-draft.
and i really wonder why people always have to make these "or" questions. they are both wings prospects, so i hope it's not jarnkrok or pulkkinen but jarnkrok AND pulkkinen. i want them both to succeed in their different roles. they are not even close in style, so there's no reason for OR.
Not really a wings fan, but Järnkrok for sure.
Pulkkinen might show up on the scoreboard, but is not really a force out there.
And he totally disappeared during his 2 playoff games because the game got a bit more physical.
jarnkrok seems more likely to become an NHLer b/c of his skating. i am happy both were drafted, though. i don't follow drafts much, but it seemed both would be drafted earlier.
but we should debate mursak vs nyquist before jarnkrok vs pulkkinen.
