as a nucks fan, best thing i can say about this years Chicago team is that they can take a hit. and no this isnt a dig at torres or seabrook, im talking the whole series, theres been a lot of clean punishing checks.

I love how there are no Hawks fans in here.

As for my compliment, the Hawks are still scary despite what the series score looks like. I always have a feeling that they're never out of it. Only when the clock strikes zero and we have a lead will I feel comfortable.

The Hawks are still one of the scariest teams on the ice, even without all the depth and with a pretty mediocre regular season behind them.

Any team that can put Toews, Kane, Hossa, Sharp, Keith and Seabrook on the ice at once with the goalie pulled is a team that can tie it up and win it. I've never felt safe with any lead in this series, and thats a huge complement to the amount of top-end talent this Hawks team still has (and will have for a long time).

They should rename this the "backhanded compliment" thread.

the way the series is going Phoenix is helping Zetterberg be healthier for later rounds

I actually really respect the Lightning as a team. They're a fun team to watch. I'm also a big fan of many of their players. Especially MSL, Gagne and Stamkos.

Not Malone though. ****in' filthy hobo.(don't ask me what that insult means because I have no idea)

I don't really have any hate towards them. They have a few loose screws in their fan base, but what team doesn't? That's all I can come up with.

I wish the Rangers would have drafted Carlson over DZ.

If you don't mind me asking, what ever happened to DZ? I remember he played very well as a rookie, put up a lot of points if I recall correctly?

Sophomore slump. Really bad sophomore slump, got sent down to the AHL a couple of times, broke his hand a few weeks ago.

Back on topic, Ovechkin can score goals.

Devils aren't in the playoffs so I'll say something about all the teams I started out rooting against/not rooting for.

West:

1 - Canucks have yet to play their best and are still up 3-0. Pretty unreal.
2 - LA is no pushover and Doughty flipped the amazing switch for game 2.
3 - Phoenix has the best PP in the history of ever.
4 - Mr. Underwood is awesome/I hope Teemu Selanne plays for 10 more years*

East:

1. The Rangers never give up, never surrender, and NEVER BACK DOWN!
2. I like all of Buffalo. Just want Philly to win.
3. Carey Price is no joke.
4. Matt Cooke isn't on the ice.

* I like both Nashville and Anaheim and aren't rooting for either side, maybe 55/45 in favor of Nashville getting their first series win....

Chicago Blackhawks: Had they not had the cap issues, they would've been a modern Dynasty, winning 3 or 4 cups in a 5 or 6 year span, maybe even consecutively.

Martin St Louis might be 3 apples high and older than everybody on the current Penguins roster, but I'd take him on this team in a second.
