Oh FFS.. That doesn't look good for Pääjärvi.

Edit: Thought he injured his hand, but he looks ok now.

Artyukhin is very tough. Probably the strongest man in the World.

We look horrible. No chemistry at all so far. Kronwall should definitely not make it.

Russia scores. Morozov.

Sweden needs to step it up. They're not on vacation just yet.

the end ... CZE - FIN 2:1

quite good effort by czechs and brave effort by finns .. both goalies with some spectacular saves

I'd say Pavelec and Voracek best players from CZE team and Aaltonen and Vehanen from FIN team

...

officially best players are Rolinek and Vehanen

i luv the fact that this Russian team is full of young guys....not your usual 30+ squad. Dadonov, Tarasenko, Belov, Zharkov, Emelin, even Rylov who's 85, but Russia wise still young, Burmistrov.

How good is Nikolay Belov? I've never seen him play.

Bykov seems to like him.

Man, this is painful to watch. What happened to the energetic forecheck of earlier EHT teams? Why can't they establish any pressure in the offensive zone? I guess it's early days for a lot of players coming over from NA, but they obviously have a lot of work to do.

Credit to the Russians though, they are playing well.

Well, I could understand how someone could get that impression at times.

Pretty much. But it's just the first period on big ice for a bunch of players and no chemistry, so I'll give them the benefit of a doubt.
