Hilarious! Shouldn't Fasth have learned that swedish goaltenders can't handle the puck?

I've noticed that Fasth likes to play the puck a lot and also immediately start the play after making a save. Hopefully this will slow him down a bit.

Backlund used to do the same but he is ALOT better at that now. Lundqvist had the odd play with the puck early in his career, but is brilliant in his reluctance to do unnecessary handling around the net. He knows he's not Norrena.

Lundqvist has improved immensely with handling the puck, but he's basically the only Swedish goaltender I would call "good" at it. I'd prefer the rest to just stay in the crease and only move inside the trapezoid(figuratively speaking).

He is "good" at it because he doesn't overdo it and force it. He knows his skill there is limited (one of few weaknesses) and has adjusted his game very well.

What a horrible period of hockey. This game couldn't end soon enough as it stands right now.

It's because of finnish goalie Sasu Hovi, which plays in Brno.

Fast, unskilled forwards beating passive defenders and missing the net. Not beautiful hockey....

Why isn't Grossman out there all the time?

The fact that the "Hyvä Suomi" chants have a heavy czech accent is just awesome, great job!

Some good ol' BÅG coaching here putting Wallin in with 2:30 to go in need of a goal.

Petrasek is in trouble if he doesn't get the penalty... Hopefully Lepistö is alright.

Koshechkin started this game for Russia.

I would say Bryzgalov is the favorite to start at the WC, if he accepts.

That should be tripping penalty against Russia. Instead of this it is a Russian goal from counterattack

Artyukhin just beat up three Finns. Tuomo Ruutu with a big hit on a Russian player before that.

Edit. Russia still leads 3-2 with 3 minutes to go in the third.
