I`m going to wait to post the matchups for the other conference. I haven`t heard back from HHH yet since clearing my inbox, and he didn`t email or send the votes via MSN. So he`s got votes done that he wants to send, and in a couple of divisions he might make an impact on a couple of preliminary matchups.

ok so now , what do we actually have to do with the macth up if we're not part of it?

Discuss it? Let the team's GMs argue between them and vote? Just vote? Is there a number of game or it's just general?

You can choose to discuss and contribute to any series you wish, even if you're not involved. It is encouraged you vote for all series. For the prelim, I believe best-of-three is the format; beyond that, the standard best-of-seven.

1. yes.
2. also yes.
3. generally not recommended, but yeah, when there are 16 series going it will be tough to be a major contributor to all of them
4. all series are best of 7, the prelims are best of 3, but it's more for optical purposes. either way you need to get more votes than your opponent. The "number of games" in the series is simply determined by how close voting was.

No. You are encouraged to discuss a teams strengths and weaknesses, but please DO NOT just say outright who you are voting for.

Nowhere yet. The series have just started and will go on for several days before voting.

did I read correctly couple of pages ago that we won't know the rankings before this round is over?

I'm curious at what the plan is myself. I get the prelim matches will be announced first, but how quickly will the rest be announced after that?

I don't think I could wait 4 or so days for the rest of the rankings I move they be announced very soon after the last prelim thread is made.

We won't?

Aw, damn, that would suck.....adds suspense, though, so I understand it.

Wouldn't be surprised to see my team in the prelims anyways.

No, I will not wait that long!

Getting the first prelims posted should keep you at bay for now, while I await hhh. I expect to get to post the other prelims tonight, then full standings early tomorrow.

I wouldn't mind waiting for the preliminary round to end before giving away the rest of the regular season results. It's true that most of us are anticipating the results, but on the other hand it would give more exposure to the preliminary matchups, who still includes 16 teams out of 40. I don't care much on what direction we decided to go with this.

I think the preliminary matchups should be wrapped up before the other results are released.

I wouldn't mind waiting three days, but I think someone will find a way to hack my computer within that time.

edit: in the end, it's good that I waited for HHH because his votes did change one matchup.

I would prefer to have the results ASAP, simply because I would like to know who I am matched up against. The first round is always the most hectic, so those extra couple days to prepare arguments would be very appreciated.
