Wats up guys, Rangers fan coming in peace.

Looking forward to the rematch of 2 years ago. It's going to be a really fun series.

See you Wednesday

It's ok because we expect the same from our end.

Just trying to start with some mutual respect, I actually am a fan of the Capitals.

Anyways, it will be a fun ride that will end abruptly for one of us.

Prospal will be annoying.

If the Caps are willing to do what it takes they'll win. As always, the talent is there.

i fully expect lundy to steal a game or 2. other then that I hope we learned from past playoff failures and not take the foot off the gas.

The Rangers are difficult to handicap. If guys like Drury and Gaborik show up in a big way, which they have shown they can do, certainly, but don't always do on a regular basis, it will be a series. Everyone is taking as gospel that Lundqvist and Dubinsky will be stellar, and if either is any less, that's going to make it virtually impossible. No Callahan will make it difficult. I'm a Prospal fan. Even against a less explosive Caps team, there isn't enough offense there in NY, and they will need the defense to contribute in that area.

I'm kind of worried that if we don't score on Lundquist right off the bat that we may be in trouble, the last thing we need is a tough 7 game series.

There are plenty of teams that these Caps aren't sure they can beat, and only one in the Rongos where they can say that yes, we know we can beat this team because we have done so, and that recently. I'm not worried about a mental block, just execution.

Players like Boyle, Stepan, Anisimov and Fedotenko will be key for the Rangers. Wolski is another hit-or-miss sort of player. I don't think the skill disadvantage for the Rangers is as lopsided as many might think. They've got a fair amount of depth, just not a whole lot of game-breaking talent. What they lack in that they make up for it in work ethic and the Caps better match it.

Integrating Green back into the lineup is a big question and easier said than done, especially since it sounds as though Schultz would once again be his partner.

They need to set the right tone from the outset. Sloppiness early has proven to lead to long series.

Green's health is the only thing concerning me, especially considering Wideman's out.

This is a better matchup for us than the Canes would have been IMO. Bottom line, if we can't beat an 8 seed we don't deserve the cup and Boudreau is gone so it should be exciting.

I don't really like the Rangers as a rule, but this current set of Rangers players is very likeable. I'd be rooting for them against other opposition.

I hope Boudreau makes the boys watch the game tape of the 2 blowouts about 15 times each over the next few days. There should be absolutely no concern about overlooking this opponent. They've earned our attention and respect, and if we give it to them, we'll win.

This is the key. Top to bottom talent level and as mentioned game breakers advantage goes to the CAPS. That said, they've handed us our lunch twice in our barn because they refuse to be out worked. If we do not match their effort and intensity it will be a short series and a long off season. This team needs to learn that they don't have to play all 7 as well.

29 teams means the Caps aren't sure they can beat themselves, and I'm pretty sure we all know they're fully capable if doing that.

If the Caps waste a single moment hand-wringing over Lundqvist they aren't Championship material.

Almost every team in the playoffs has a goalie capable of stealing games and they've actually beaten this one before.

If they take care of their game they have as good a chance as any. They've failed in the past because they made excuses and played scared.

Their effort in Game 1 of this series will tell me if Boudreau has got them over the hump or if it's the same song and dance.

Work ethics and simplicity will be key to success in the 1st round. If Caps can match Rangers in that department there is no reason they shouldn't come out on top.

One game at a time...

AVs fan but I'll be cheering for you guys in the post season. I might drop by here after/during the games if you guys don't mind. I just love most of your players Ovechkin, Varlamov, Backstrom, Johnsson and Carlson. I'm pretty sure you guys will win this series the only way NY has a shot is if Lundqvist goes on a tear. Good luck!
