Hmm that's interesting....knuble out? I guess they're giving him some rest at least the guys we have on the bench are a lot better than last year. With chimera on the first....we'll have a bit of speed there...he did well for the first few games he played with ovie.
On another note....the caps win at a .675 clip with BB...if you check that against a 7 game series....it's 4.725 wins....so let's see the caps match that pace these playoffs. I'm not worried about the caps mentallly...they lost the road opener in MSG....and let's face it they played horribly, weren't blown out even though they spent about 25% of the game down a man(a big reason why having a great PK is important)and only lost on crazy bounce with 3 mins left.
on the power play where he scored in game 3, he took a green shot off the hand. after scoring the goal he took his right glove off to look at it before his mates got to him to celebrate. its pretty clear on the replay.
he broke his finger i'd guess.
i didnt believe the excuse yesterday
i guess we'll see if fehr can replace knuble's dirty goal scoring
"Hit" doesn't mean "Physical Contact" so it doesn't mean much wrt whether the 4th liners are setting a good pace. Perhaps just that they're not coming out ahead on the forecheck, not winning the turnover battles (or not forcing them directly).
Can't imagine if they included the hits on Neuvirth.
Makes a strong case why Chimera should not be sat during this round. Surprises are Sturm's numbers and that Boyd Gordon has no hits. I understand the disparity with Green coming back from the concussion but Schultz with ony 6 hits to being hit 9 times should not be happening. Additionally, the fourth line besides Gordon, Hendricks has 6 hits but has been hit 11 times, seems it may be time to sit him for a game and turn Jeff Beagle loose for one game. Brooks Laich also at 3 v 12 gets you shaking your head.
Green, Laich, Backstrom and Ovie are the players the Rangers are targeting. No surprise.
