Complete Speculation: Radulov

He just won the KHL championship a couple minutes ago. Say he hops in a plane and arrives in Nashville tomorrow night. Does he fulfill his one year obligation by playing in the playoffs? Would you take him back?

Won't happen. Wouldn't take him, not right now.

Yeah. This would never happen. But the Preds would take him back in a heartbeat... it'd mess up our lines though.

Wouldn't he still have to clear waivers, either way, I doubt he has any interest in coming back here.

No way I would let him off the hook for the last year of his ELC that easy.

Wait, who?

Seriously though, no chance. 1. He has to clear waivers, which would never happen. 2. We would never let him off the hook that easily. 3. This team is fully capable of winning without him.

I doubt the waivers rule applies - he's still got a contract.

Radulov already stated that he plans on finishing the rest of his contract in Russia before making a decision. One reason, among many, has to do with any changes that might happen to the new CBA after it expires

Doesn't have to clear waivers. Still under contract with us.

This.

I'm not big on these types of rules, but can anyone tell me why he would clear waivers if he was still under contract with us? Like, Fo Shea Shea, I believed he would be apart of the preds since he has 1 year left.

there is zero chance that trotz would screw chemistry like that, and zero chance poile lets the little d-bag off the hook for his ELC for as little as a possible 3 games

I assume this doesn't have any truth to it.

But I'd take him, if he signs a 3 year deal for <3million/yr at the same time.

We have a shot to get out of the first round this year. But that's hopefully not our only goal. To go deep, we need scoring threats that we don't have.

But again, I assume there is zero chance of this.

I forget where I read this, but he recently finished paying off his home here in Nashville. Probably doesn't mean much in regards to the near future though.

Didn't he just sign an extension with his KHL team within the last year? Even in this fantasy world where I'm married to Scarlett Johansson, ride a unicorn to work, have leprechauns doing my laundry, Rads is still under contract to the KHL. Why are we even discussing this?

He has left other contracts before.

Don't want him back, especially at this time of the season.

He did not sign extension. He said it will depend on this year finish.

Also mentioned that he would go back to NHL if he get the Gagarins Cup this year.
Kinda like levels completion.
Didn't say to where thou. Maybe he expects to get traded to bigger market.

But not this year, that is 100%

He owes Nashville a season. He plays for the Preds or nobody else in the NHL ever, until he completes his signed contract with Nashville. You don't have to be a lawyer to know the answer to this one.

I bet 1/2 the NHL teams wouldn't touch him based on his track record. You think he wouldn't bail on another NHL team after a year if he was unhappy or homesick or threatened by the Russia mob?

I saw somewhere that he signed a 2 year extension a few months ago?

I also thought he already signed another extension over in the KHL. Either way, if he somehow did show up, no way we mess with our team and have him just step on in this year. Talk about screwing up with our chemistry and pissing a lot of people in the locker room off. Now next year, bring it on. But this will never happen. He's as good as dead.

Trade him to the Panthers. Let him chill with Vokoun, god knows he needs the company.

He plays a season for Nashville or nobody. If the Preds want to ship him some where at the trade deadline, so be it.
