We just swept a team without Zetterberg in the lineup.

Sweet.

hm: howard. he has made some clutch saves down the stretch in this series. would the howard haters still rather have bryzgalov in net over howard?

Tough call, was a game by committee, Modano was pretty good too.

Helm
Kronwall
Cleary

Oh, and Lidstrom was #2 in defense TOI behind Kronwall.

How Cleary and Eaves are not unanimous picks is beyond me. They were good all game and they owned the 3rd when it mattered.

Too many guys in the running for 3rd star, so I went with Tawd.

Tempted to vote for Howard. His stat line for the game isn't pretty, but he had two get kicked past him by his defensemen and one wide-open blown coverage goal 4 feet out on a power play. Like games 1-3, he made the big stops when they needed him most. Really good series for him.

Fun trivia:

Series A

101 saves
111 shots
.910 sv%

Series B

151 saves
166 shots
.910 sv%

Name that goalie, and name those two series. And then think about how much better the whole team looks when they help out their goalie.

Now I get to sleep in until the San Jose series starts. Nice work fellas.

Any combination of Bert, Cleary, Eaves, Helm, Kronner is acceptable right?

Too many guys played well and no real standouts.

People are saying Modano was good but I really didn't think he was. He should continue to be the healthy scratch when everyone is back. The only guy I would scratch in place of Modano is Hudler, and he's been decent lately.

Best game of the series. Best game of the season

Focus shown by Wings was incredible. They were really into it.. somehow reminding me 08 Championship team.

Everyone played incredible. Everyone except Abdelkader, Stuart and Rafalski.

i thought stuart overall had a solid game. don't really blame him for the first goal as it took a weird bounce off the ref's skate

Modano was alright. Pretty good actually. Not great though. I wouldn't sit Huds though, he's been going and going with Filppula lately, and they've had some production and some good PP action. I wanna keep that line going as long as it can.

he took a penalty that resulted in goal and got caught deep in the zone leaving Lidstrom alone on 2-1.

well he wasn't that bad.. it's just that everyone else was great.

I guess I'll vote for players that aren't picked yet

Miller <- write in
Howard
Draper <- write in

IMO, Miller should not be scratched. So is Draper.

That leaves Modano and Abdelkader... and we know Abby is Bab's man.

It's going to be a tought choice.

I agree that Miller shouldn't be scratched, he was really good in this game. I don't think you can scratch Abdelkader the way he's been playing either. I think the two weakest links (assuming everyone is healthy) are Modono and Hudler.

i agree. thing i can't stand about modano is how easily he gives up on plays where the puck doesn't land perfectly on his stick

Ouch. Some Legace-esque quotes from Bryz:

Quote:
Goalies have 2 ways to be. To be a hero, to be a goat. I am goat.

Cleary goal was a mistake that killed the team. It is my fault.

I went with Cleary, Kronwall and Eaves, but Helm and Filppula were deserving the vote. So I would vote for all those 5.
