Tom Glavine interested in buying the Thrashers

Quote:
Glavine told an Atlanta radio station he hopes to organize an ownership group.

"I'm trying on my end," Glavine told 790 The Zone. "No promises. We'll see what happens."
http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=6404799

Don't forget, Glavine was drafted by the Kings before Brett Hull and Luc Robataille were drafted in whatever year that was

How much money does Tom Glavine have?

He would have been a hell of a hockey player, but he chose baseball instead.

Should have taken to hockey.

He's a classy guy, no doubt about that, but there's not many ball players that I dislike more than Glavine. The ultimate merc.

I'm not sure how much money he has, but if this helps at all, the year by year salary breakdown of his MLB career is at the bottom of this link

He'll be in this with a few other people if they get it going too don't forget

I don't have that picture of Tom Glavine taking off in a huff anymore, but I do have this.

Glavine as an NHL owner would be weird. Has to be better than Balsillie though.

Uh, how? Balsillie is one of the richest men in the world. The team wouldn't have a self imposed cap. Balsille would have a team if he wasn't an idiot about it.

Glavine wouldn't openly state his intention to move the team. That already makes him a better candidate than Balsillie to be an owner.

That doesn't make Balsille a bad owner, it makes him an idiot.

Ok, so he's an idiot. Still doesn't make me want him anywhere near an NHL franchise.

He probably made more money in baseball than he ever would have in hockey.

DON'T DO IT!!!

It's bad karma.

We can all laugh at the continued misfortunes of that sad-sack of an undistinguished franchise over here and there's plenty of hi jinks to go around.

I think I only have went over there like 3 or 4 times ever. Tough guy Fachamala (with the puny, girly biceps) and Leviathan were talking about me.

They will be joining us on the golf course shortly.

HAPPY EASTER NYR fans! And may you choke on your chocolate Easter bunnies!

HAPPY PASSOVER NYR fans! And may a Seder plate fall from the sky and hit you right on the head!

You mean Henrik wont have to make more space for another Vezina third place trophy?

Also, from the playoff photoshop board.
