Lidstrom, Chara and Weber are Norris nominees. I`m pissed off, but nothing unexpected after all. Lubo :/

Lidstrom is going to move up in historic standings.

Lidstrom will probably go down as the most consistent defenseman in history.

Edit: Looks like I was too slow, but I think Weber should win the Norris this year.

I think Lubo could have been a finalist over Chara this year though.

He's definitely in the top 5 all-time. He and Brodeur are surefire first ballot Hall of Famers.

Visnovsky not being a finalist is absolutely BS.

Lidström should win it, I think.

I'm surprised Chara got so many votes. I'm guessing none of them were from writers in Montreal.

When it comes to all those vacuous "this player is better than that one"-debates, I don't understand why great health and consistency are never valued as major attributes. I'm talking on a level of importance given to the records/stat book.

When, day in and day out, you can count on a guy to perform at the same level for twenty years...that is unreal and huge in any human pursuit, let alone one in which guys are running at you with top speed every day.

No kidding. Marty gets knocked for playing on a great team for 15 years, but nobody acknowledges that part of the reason why the team was consistently good for 15 years was because Marty was consistent.

Other than a bad signing in Colorado, Selanne has pretty much been Mr. Consistent too.

His year at the age of 40 this season was just majestic.

Him and Lidstrom. They played like 20 year olds.

Selanne was ridiculous in the playoffs. 6 goals is insane.

He helped my fantasy team, but I have now lost him and Perry. I took Hiller not realizing he was hurt, and if he wasn't they probably beat Nashville.

I also fully thought Crosby would play again, so I took him and Pronger. So I'm down five of my 20 players already. Still have Semin, Backstrom, M. Richards, Ovechkin, Kesler, Sedins, Ehrhoff, Edler and Luongo.

If Vancouver loses to CHI tomorrow, I'm finished.

You'd have to hope that the Caps do really well.

I was banking on a WSH-VAN finals. Could still happen, obviously. But Vancouver has to have zero faith in Luongo or Schneider right no. The forwards played well I thought from the highlights. It's clear the goaltending let them down.

Anyone know the date the schedule comes out for next year? Came out really early if I remember correctly for the past year.

I thought it usually comes out around the MLB all-star game.....think the day after or something like that

Schneider played really well when he was actually in his net last night (maybe except for that penalty shot). Two of Chicago's goals last night were from Schneider going full-Hedberg and picking some awful times/ways to play the puck.

I don't mind Chara.

I like Weber a lot more. Damn, he is awesome.

St.Louis & Weber, my favorite non Devils.

Team Sweden won't be getting Henrik Lundqvist to help take on the world. Rangers want him to rest.
