Deschamps has had a huge season with the Wildcats, quite interested to see how he does in the AHL next season

Really excited about Gardiner TBH

Oh and Vatanen from what people have been saying about him

Arty, is that you?

Anyway i think we should give him a chance on AHL/WHL.

Neat little article. Sounds good that Deschamps is helping the younger guys. And if he's actually helping coach them (in terms of strategy and stuff, compared to say skill work or helping them mentally), that's a good sign of his hockey knowledge. There's no such thing as too smart a guy or too much leadership.

I also think that these types of setbacks are what help build character and makes for a better player in the end. So that's good too.

One little suggestion, though. You could use a little editing work. I'm not sure if it's just you or if you had someone look over it. I guess it depends on if you're going to do this as a hobby or if you're looking to spring into journalism.

Good news if its true

Wonder how he goes in training camp, on the 09/10 review for the Ducks on HF they were saying he has a outside chance of making the NHL roster for next season.

Though could only see that happening if Selanne retires then we deal Blake/Lupul

Good news. Was starting to lose my sleep over this one I think he's an interesting prospect and he had a really good season in the juniors as well. Also played in the WJC and from what I gather, he played well there too. Hoping he's transition to the pro's this fall starts smoothly.

I thought there was a chance he could make the team this season. If Niedermayer takes a decent sized pay cut, and the Ducks are unable to move Lupul or Blake, I could see this lineup:

Beleskey - Getzlaf - Perry
Blake - Koivu - Selanne
Ryan - McMilllan - Lupul
Brown - Marchant/Chipchura - Parros

That would be awesome, that would give us the 3 scoring lines that murray wants. But I highly doubt McMillian makes the team this year. The ducks take their time with their prospects.

You're talking about Logan, not Brandon. Brandon is a winger, although he can play defense, so I guess it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Brandon is a winger.... I don't know why you insert him in at center... Bonino, Holland, Palmeiri before McMillan... and if had to put money on it... Both Bonino and Holland crack the full-time lineup before McMillan

I could have sworn he played center in the past, but I might be wrong.

Beleskey - Getzlaf - Perry
Blake - Koivu - Selanne
McMilllan - Ryan - Lupul
Brown - Marchant/Chipchura - Parros

Ryan-Getzlaf-Perry
Blake--Koivu?-Lupul
Beleskey-Chipchura-Bodie
Brown-Marchant-Parros

Even without Teemu, Sexton and Carter it'd be tough for Brandon to make it right off the bat.

Did anyone on the board see Sbisa play at all this season? If so how was he?

Looks like Stefan Warg is going back to Sweden to play with Orebro in Swe Tier 2.

http://eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=6870

I really don't like this choice from him. The kind of player he is usually has a better chance reaching the AHL going through juniors.

Daniel Rahimi and Alexander Hellstrom are similar players that will never get a new chance in North America. On the other hand, those guys were older than Warg currently is when they went home. Both had also been in the AHL already.

I assume Warg will be in camp though, so maybe he'll get a contract next summer and will get his chance with the Crunch eventually. Remember watching him in preseason last year, he didn't look much worse than Mitera who was on his pairing.

Apparently the Ducks 2009 3rd round pick Igor Bobkov was drafted to the CHL (London Knights) in this year's Import Draft. Anybody have any idea if he's gonna come over?

No word yet, as it just happened, and is no big deal in Russia.
I understand russian language a bit, so i`ll be trying to check out their media in next couple of days.

Personally, i hope he`s coming to OHL and gets play time. He hadn`t got much chance in last season in Russia, although put up great numbers in World Juniors.
___

Oh, yeah, there`s that MHL thing going around. It`ll be lika junior league for KHL. Maybe he decides to play there, who knows.
But it`s a possibility since Russians are not wery keen on playing in NA.

If Bobkov does come to the CHL, London is one of the few teams that probably has the cash and resources to make it happen.
