Jim Hughson on CBC is excellent. I'd take him over anyone, even RJ.

Hughson is sleep inducing. He has the same tone for a whole match.

Was wondering who it was myself, he was pretty good. As for the two morons from CBC, well, I'd rather listen to Steigerwald. And it's not even because of the brutal homerism even Jack Edwards couldn't match, I don't mind that. Healy is such a massive incompetent, unprofessional tool and Cole doesn't know what's going on most of the time

LOL!! I've only heard him announce a handful of times (California), but can't stand the guy's voice because of this exact reason.

Kenny Albert is good, but to suggest he is the best voice Versus has is hilarious.

Beninati (yes, him) and Forslund are better. Forslund and Strader are probably the two best.

Cuthbert - SIDNEY CROSBY THE GOLDEN GOAL

AND CANADA HAS WON ONCE IN A LIFETIME OLYMPIC GOLD

Voice was a little annoying, but that's an epic call.

cuthbert > all your hacks, when are y'all noobs gon' learn

versus/nbc pbp is like watching baseball or football coverage... meaningless boring jabber about nothing, oops something is happening better mispronounce somebody's name, okay, back to meaningless chit-chat. protip: hockey isn't stop/go like football and baseball, how about you, you know, call the game when its happening.

He is an excellent no BS announcer and I was glad to hear him on VS tonight.

OT, what ever happened to Al Albert? He used to do Nets games when I was a kid and he was great.
Al Albert was the Nuggets PBP guy and the Pacers PBP up until a couple of years ago. For those who don't know Al Albert for his regional work, they might've recognized him as the voice of Tuesday Night Boxing on USA back in the day. He also called hockey on several networks during the 80s and early 90s. Al now does sports marketing. He got tired of the traveling that went with being a sports announcer, so he left the Pacers to start his own marketing firm. Interestingly, Al was a hockey player. He participated in a Rangers training camp and played for Toledo when they had an IHL team.

I like Kenny Albert, I think he's underrated. He also called NHL games for Fox - Craig Simpson was his partner and he's called Olympic hockey for NBC.

That's a corporate thing for Earth Day. "Green in Universal" is the tagline that's being used by NBCUniversal networks. You'll notice that virtually all of the NBC networks are using green logos and fonts to raise awareness for Earth Day. http://www.greenisuniversal.com/

I'm pretty much used to Pang every night, so these playoffs have been no different. It's like the Blues made it.

It certainly is refreshing to watch a Bruins game without having to listen to Edwards.

It's Strader tonight, the best PBP play Versus employs

They need to throw as much money as possible to get Cuthbert from TSN, if Comcast is serious about making hockey a priority
